honestly what worries me the most is the Dline...lost some studs on that side of the ball...secondary and LB's have a chance to be really really good though

the guy that "supposedly" transferring never did...he is back in Kilgore....not sure why we shouldn't be optimistic in Kilgore whether we lose 1 player or 5....we never really lack talent it's just been getting these kids developed and in the best position to succeed....we have a very good coaching staff and good group of kids that have bought in to coach Fuller and want to win...so, yes strong optimism especially knowing what we return and hearing what we have coming up

as far as what returns on the Oline...I think we return 2 or 3 but we get 1 back that would have been a starter last year but wasn't due to injury..?? (not for sure)...we will have to find a RB (which is never a problem) and also break in a new QB....we may struggle a little until we get in sync but honestly I think this offense has the potential to be really really good...QB may not be as great at passing as Vanzandt was early on but he doesn't look bad from what I have seen and will only get better....the difference though is teams will now have to prep for a duel threat QB who can fly....on the defensive side Kilgore may have one of the best secondary's in the state...so there's that

I believe it was 2 OT on the 41-35 playoff game....no doubt Chapel Hill is very talented and has had Kilgore's number the past few meetings...but, honestly Kilgore was a play or two away from playing in the semis the past 2 years instead of Chapel Hill...just like Chapel Hill was 9 sec away from playing for a Championship....got to find a way to make 1 more play!!..it will be a tall task again to figure out how to make that play and we did lose some very good players from last year... but we return a ton of very talented ones who I believe are more than capable of being every bit as good if not better than the last couple of years

Kilgore returns a ton of skill guys...our LB's and secondary has the chance to be scary good...ball hawks everywhere...only real spot on defense that worries me is the Dline...we return Christian (#84) but lost Carruthers(#33) when he transferred out...not sure what else is coming up..??...as for the offense our Oline from what I'm hearing should be pretty good with size...QB is an athlete and can fly...pretty descent passer as well from what I could tell....the loss of Ross at RB will hurt but Kilgore always has RB's ...also, the kicker returns...

Best of luck Chapel Hill...do what you have been doing and you will be fine!!.....just be the best version of what Chapel Hill football is and play hard....your team is special and super talented... there's not a doubt in my my mind that if you play your game you will be fine...bring it home!!!

I would think holding Chapel Hill to 6 pts in the 2nd half was making adjustments...I think we just were in too big of a hole to come back...I think if I remember correctly it was like 26-10 at the half...

Chapel hill played well defensively...had a really good game plan against Kilgore that night...the 1st half Kilgore had way too many missed tackles and dropped passes that would of kept the chains moving...heck even dropped a TD....came out the 2nd half and played better....held Chapel Hill to 6 pts which I think some people tend to ignore....I'm not saying Chapel Hill played flawless either but they did capitalize on the Kilgore turnovers while Kilgore didn't do much with the Chapel Hill turnovers...

What happened last game doesn't matter....Kilgore knows they didn't play well and will need to execute better to win....we don't have to be the best team...we just have to be the best team tonight!!!

I truly believe if Kilgore plays well this game will not be as close in the end as most think it will....the key to me is tackle well and don't give away pts via turnover or special teams...I just believe we will stop them more than they stop us

in my opinion I don't think Kilgore has played very well overall since before the bye week....almost seems like we have been just going through the motions...now granted CHILL was very good and had a lot to do with it, but we just look off with penalties, turnovers, and just overall execution...not terrible just a little off....I'm hoping they got back in gear after the second half of LCM game...they had a little more fire to them when they came back out and put them away...Kilgore can go as far as they wanna go if they play to their potential....will need a few breaks as well but this Kilgore team when clicking is pretty dang good...nothing against El Campo they have a very good team as well... but if we come out and play Kilgore football El Campo is gonna have a huge problem...

I just hope we got healthy over the bye week and we have all of our players available for this one...we got pretty banged up against Athens. Mainly our starting RB who went out with a knee injury of some sort..??...he didn't play most of the 4th qtr against Athens and was on the sideline with ice on his knee....hopefully, he is ready to roll. Also, heard we "could" be missing a few others...??....hopefully, I heard wrong on that part...either way it will be an exciting game
