Franklin vs. Malakoff Thursday at Buffalo HS Gym at 6:00 PM. Was just confirmed...….

They not updated list. It has coach Hedrick at 290 and coach Nolen at 298 on TX High School Football History.com coaching leaders but if you go to Coach Nolen's individual stats it shows 308-76-1 for coach Nolen.. So not sure which is accurate..

If Coach Hedrick wins Friday Night it will give him 298 wins !! Would be12th on all time wins list right behind Houston Lamar's Tom Nolen (33 Years at Houston Lamar) 308 wins... I believe that is correct if not someone will correct me.. LOL...

Interesting note. This game will have 2 future Texas High School Hall of fame coaches going head to head for the District Championship. Coach Mike Hedrick in his 43rd season 297 career wins..... Coach Jimmy Thompson in his 30th season 232 career wins.... WoW. I wonder if any other game will have two great coaches going head to head this week with a combined 529 career wins..... That's a testament to both coache's longevity and success Congrats to Coach Hedrick and Coach Thompson for being so successful over many years....

In the 40 years of watching Franklin football... No doubt one of the best football games in Franklin High School history.. Scott Sanders was very special to my family, he was one of my son’s best friends.. No doubt in All my years doing stats and covering high school football Scott Sanders was one of the toughest players I ever covered. What he did in that game with a broken bone in his leg was unbelievable.. What I would give to go hog hunting with him and my son one more time.... One of the things we would say when he would run the football was IF u mess with the BULL u will get the Horn.... RIP Buddy!!! You are greatly missed.. Love you and miss you my friend.....

player73- I totally agree... whichever team makes that costly mistake i.e. a turnover or penalty at that time of the game that you just can't have it happen in a game where the two teams are evenly matched..... Gonna be fun....

player73- You are absolutely correct.. If you are a high school football fan then this is a game you will not want to miss... Two great programs that are very familiar with each other.. Have played each other numerous times over the years..... Should be a great game and atmosphere... Get your popcorn ready.......

Franklin vs LaMarque Saturday Nov 25th at 1:00 pm Waller ISD if Coldspring would have won it would have been in Conroe Friday never was gonna be in Crockett.. LaMarque was always gonna be on Saturday not Friday. We need to make sure we have accurate info before posting as it will mislead the people of both communities!!!!!
