I don't know where he saw it or who posted it. I do know some things were on FSSW app in the chat part because my grown sons have the app to keep up with scores around the state. I won't repeat it because it was uncalled for. Kids these days have access to ALL kinds of information. And the bad part is that anyone can claim to be frim anywhere & no one's any wiser.

I just watched the FSSW recap and they interviewed him. He sad seen posts or tweets all week that he was overrated. It might not excuse his comment, but explains it.

No, he hasn't! And he's a 17-18 yearold kid, living his HS dream, scoring 37 td's last year and 38 (give or take) so far this. From an interview on FSSW, apparently he had read posts that he was overrated, so I can understand his postgame emotional comment. And 40 is a HUGE deal! And that loss to end the streak is a total gut punch. We lived it at 39.

I don't particularly like LV. It's not because they knocked us out last year. It's how they play. Somehow, PF's have a way of getting overlooked with them. And I'm not one typically that questions calls. I have no clue how it's going to turn out. But if you're there and see a lady with purple hair, it's probably me. Come say hi!

Huge congrats to Carthage on their long run. I remember 2007, looking at the players sizes and thinking OMG, those are men compared to our sizes. And still players with the soze and speed! It was a great game, regardless of the final score. I know it stings now...a lot! I had a 3-yr starter that went through the same. I have no doubt Carthage will not drop a beat getting back next year.

No argument on the RB, although I will say if we had ONE RB that we used, I think you would find the numbers would be fairly equal. The LINE???? Remind me about how that turned out for you last year? Three of our OL have been starters the past 3 seasons. Two of them just received All-State honors.

No, I'm not sore at all! Maybe you should have read the entire post. :) But when one side calls the other cocky it makes me laugh. And trust me, we have some from here, too!

And most of the Carthage folks are not?????? Oh, I forgot. You're both just happy to be there, although Carthage fans are sad that they didn't get the chance to demolish the apparently overrated <_< , to some of you, Panthers. There are folks from BOTH sides that make it difficult for an outsider to cheer for either team. Celina spanked our butts on Saturday. Complete & utter meltdown by the Panthers from the opening KO until time ran out. Complete & utter domination by Celina during that same time. The mistakes I watched us make on offense, defense, special teams & play calling were not "who" the Panthers had been all season. Celina was highly responsible for our meltdown - they showed up ready to demolish us and we did little to stop it. They may not have gotten the best our team had in earlier games, but they DID get the best we had to offer Saturday. No excuses from me - it was a good old-fashioned whupping from top to bottom. There were no "what ifs" in this game. It's funny that some try to throw Celina's 3 losses in their faces, yet doesn't Carthage have 2 losses on the books? None of those 5 losses have any affect on the outcome of THIS game. Carthage, you better strap 'em on tight, because the Bobcats WILL be ready for a 4-quarter all out WAR.

Are you kiddings me????? We didn't lose because we are mainly a run offense! That same offense won 38 consecutive games & back-to-back state championships. :rolleyes: We lost because Celina showed up to beat our rears, and we did little to stop it.

Interestingly enough, Abilene Wylie, one of the largest 3A schools in a fairly affluent district, just added volleyball in the past season or two. :hmm:

I seem to remember him getting knocked on his butt on defense as well. :thumbsup: GO PANTHERS!

Girls are "allowed" to try out for football regardless of the school having limited sports or all. I honestly don't think there is a "must" sport for any athlete. They all should play whatever they like and what they feel is their best opportunity to do well & have fun. :)
