  1. A pair of circa 1980 Timberland hiking boots that have been resoled several times, and a Boston concert T from 78.. . . . :cat:
  2. No longer can we simply be spectators, blame it on the interactive media we digest on a daily basis, computer games which allow many to participate, phone in voting for your favorite television performer or any of the venues which require public interaction. Shifts in societal norms may be difficult to accept at first but soon those who oppose die out and the shift becomes the norm. It wouldn’t surprise this middle aged man to see schools designate classroom time for cell phone conversations...:ugh: . . . :cat:
  3. Clouseau: Does your dog bite? Hotel Clerk: No. Clouseau: [bowing down to pet the dog] Nice doggie. [Dog barks and bites Clouseau in the hand] Clouseau: I thought you said your dog did not bite! Hotel Clerk: That is not my dog. Do what any red blooded American redneck would do, take matters into your own hands, shoot the dogs when you find them on your property. I know, hard to do when you live in the city, but most cities have lease laws, so be proactive and call the authorities every time you see the neighbor's dog running loose.... . . . :cat:
  4. Four Flies on Grey Velvet is a very dark thriller of the Italian type directed and written by Dario Argento circa 1972. My wife is a John Cusak fan also, mybe I'll tell about that one, maybe I won't....:whome: . . . :cat:
  5. Some of the wine from Chile are very good and inexpensive. http://www.thewinenews.com/aprmay00/feat.html
  6. The pretentious wieners are those who ask the retailer for a wine which they know to be a restaurant reserve, or better yet, the person (usually women) cooing to friends about how great Cakebread chardonnay is. Black Opel brand wines from Australia are very good and medium priced....;) . . . :cat:

    Earth Day

http://www.plasticsresource.com/s_plastics...CID=126&DID=228 For Earth Day we drove 30 year old tractors pulling hayride wagons, stressed out some horses by putting dead cow apparatus on them and placing humans on their backs not to mention the torturing of a Barbado sheep by way of human interaction. We also taught children about freshwater benthic macroinvertebrates. But hay, it was all good.... . . . . :cat:

    Earth Day

Sometimes cutting down a tree is the right thing to do i.e., forest management. Good luck reinstalling the highly sophisticated emissions control system on your Ford, while you are under the hood you might consider installing an exhaust brake. Cummins Rule!.... . . . :cat:

  11. Imus, victim of a double standard Duke boys, victims of someone who wishes to jockey for victim status Pacman, victim of his own actions No one, nature of the beast Earth, our lack of good stewardship Not familiar . . . :cat:
  12. I do have a few trinkets which help remind me of times past, but as far as collecting anything goes, I don't. Does collecting memories count?....;) . . . :cat:
  13. What if this student fabricated the story, a teacher’s career is on the line. Say some little recalcitrant teen doesn’t like the discipline handed down by a teacher, what better way to exact some revenge than accusing the teacher of inappropriate touching. Unsubstantiated allegations of wrong doing should not be brought forth to the media. If this teacher is not guilty his career is already in the toilet by way of the media....:ugh: . . . :cat:
  14. Thanks! Saw them a couple of times back in the 70s, if they haven't lost their luster it should be a good show. . . . :cat:
  15. Whatever happened to Phyllis Glazer and Blazing Saddles ranch? . . . :cat:

  18. I was told that people living on the east side of the road could not be buried on the west side...I don't get it. . . . :cat:
  19. Clyde Drexler...:ugh: . . . :cat:
  20. Glad the Boys hired a young coach who can relate to the players...oh wait, they didn't. Same old song and dance...no pun intended. . . . . :cat:
  21. The distributors run the Texas spirits industry not the retailers. (Lobbying power) It would appear to me that Kroger did something to upset the distributors thus the dropping of the hammer by the TABC. The TABC does not have the man power to police the small border bandits so they go after those who have deep pockets and are easy to police. Texas liquor laws are set up to perpetuate the distributors, not a thing in the regulations manual or rule book are there to help the retailer. . . . :cat:
