Rocky Baker was one of the few coaches that figured out how to stop the DW. Garner from Alto was one of the others. I think whoever makes the correct blocking adjustments will win this game.

This is getting pretty interesting. Ole RAMbone just may have to make the trip back to east Texas to see this game. I have seen Carthage this year, but not Center. I'll spot Center 21 pts and Carthage still wins though. they are legit. Center has struggled with some teams that aren't good so that is why I'm picking it that way.

The forum asked how much it is worth and I told you. So you think I am ignorant? Calling someone else's OPINION ignorant is what is ignorant. I have about 3 years experience of umpiring and I will not do it any more. I'll tell you why. Most places I umpired paid the plate umpire $10-15 more, then they got to where they paid both the same. All the other umpires quit wanting the plate and I got stuck behind the dish everygame. It isn't easy on knees. When I did tournaments, plate umpires were getting around $50 and field umpires were getting around $35. Please forgive my "ignorance" or should I say opinion if you don't like it..

I have umpired Little League, Dixie youth, and a few connie mack tournaments back in the day. Plate umpires always recieved more money than the field umpire. What umpiring experience do you have if any?

The field umpire is just as important, but the plate umpire is making calls every single pitch. If you haven't umpired any I suggest you do it, then you'll see why I say the plate umpire should make more. If you pay them the same, you'll have trouble getting people to call behind the plate.
