I know. But they were sure fun to watch. I just can't believe they can't get it at least a little competitive.

It's sad actually. There was a time , although it was many years ago, that Pitt was one of the most feared teams in Texas. They along with Van started a long string of East Texas teams dominating 3A ball which today is the same as 4A.

They said, this ain’t going be good
Yall would have got more work playing Beckville........and you wouldn't have had to go near as far.

They lost to a foreign country team that's best athletes play futbol. I thought this was gonna be more competitive.

Lindale gonna be fighting in the stands

Thanks to Kilgore for making us better. I really saw 2 gritty football teams last night that BOTH had strange coaching decisions made and BOTH had very questionable calls go against. We will improve from this game and so will Kilgore. And I would have said that even if the outcome had been different. Best of luck to you down the road.

Man I can say both coaches left me scratching my head. First Gilmer coach elected to not go for two when the ball would have been on the 1 1/2 yard line. Then Kilgore coach just said hey I’m run up the middle with no timeouts instead of just spiking the ball and kicking the game winning FG.
What about the pooch kick at the end.......to their best freaking player. We were very very fortunate tonight.

Kilgore is very good. I would not want to be meeting them in the playoffs. Gilmer was fortunate tonight but we needed it. Big win for the Buckeyes.

What's the score

TD Kilgore missed pat.
Kilgore 2 receivers #3 and 4 can jump out the stadium

TD Gilmer 17-10

How come Gilmer never has any of these 6 4 receivers like Kilgore and Carthage grow. Kilgore has made some mistakes but they are very talented.

We gave up 68 in game one last year. I would say we are vastly improved from our state title last year.
On a lighter note, we will be just fine. More than likely still playing at Thanksgiving like every year since 2006.

Where is the Celina/Bellville game to be played. I may need a road trip for that one.

No le gusta football; mucho mucho le gusta futbol! In all honesty man it is sad to see the number of once dominant Texas HS teams that are no longer relevant because of this…and it’s only going to get worse. Sad but true
How long since Jacksonville was dominant? And I just read an article a little over a week ago, that listed Jacksonville as one of the top 10 worst towns to live in Texas. Maybe they just wanted out of there!!!

This is Randy’s other son? Did they move to Gilmer? Isn’t he on the school board at JVille?
This is Randy's son. Yes the entire family moved to Gilmer. And I don't have a clue if he was on the school board.

Do you really.......or are you just talking to yourself as usual

Gilmer has a state championship winning QB returning. How's that gonna play out. It's 2006 all over again.
