Gonna be losing a lot of key guys in 2018, but we've also got a lot of young talent that was battle-tested in 2017. Some staffing shakeups are possible, and some serious defensive upgrades are desperately needed. How's the recruiting outlook heading into the off-season? New year, new thread... BOOMER SOONER!

I'm bored with only playing Devil's Advocate/Troll on the 'Horn and Aggie threads during the offseason, I reckon there's enough Sooner fans and haters to keep this lively. :P

(reported on Twitter) What do y'all think? Yeah yeah, sounds like some balderdash Don Castiglione "leaked" to test the waters and/or leverage some pressure. But interesting nonetheless.

The Buckeyes (.722) and Sooners (.720) rank third and fourth in all-time winning percentage, and have combined for 1,736 victories and 12 national titles. Since 2000, OU and Ohio State are tied for the lead in wins among Power Five conference teams with 170 each. OU will play at Ohio State in 2017. This year's meeting will be just the third all-time. Oklahoma fell 24-14 to the Buckeyes in Norman in 1983, but in 1977 third-ranked OU traveled to fourth-ranked OSU and delivered one of the most iconic wins in school history. In a game remembered by its penultimate play, Ray Finkle directed the Ohio State faithful in a chant of "Block that kick!" before nailing a 41-yard field goal to give Barry Switzer's Sooners a 29-28 win over Woody Hayes' Buckeyes.

While I know the majority of board members would rather lament Longhorn failings or applaud Aggie triumphs, I also know there's a good number of fellow Sooner alums/fans who lurk with me under the radar. How's the team looking this year to you? How do you feel about the Bell>Knight>Bell rollercoaster we've been on since Spring? With UT looking unimpressive thus far, the early word is that we rout the RRS, but you can't take that game for granted. How do we match-up with them? I know it's still early, but what do you think of our chances this year? Big XII? BCS Bowl?
