  1. Visit my Facebook page to see how to get high-resolution images from the game bewween Garrison and Beckville at Longview Lobo Stadium. You can email me to get details on how to get the images. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=sportshotgraphy&set=a.871269978337446
  2. Garrison wins to date. Hughes Springs. 0-6 Arp. 4-2 Warren. 3-3 Alto. 0-5 West Sabine. 2-4 Joaquin. 0-5 Garrison has beat 1 team with a winning record. Arp- currently ranked 30th in 3ad2.
  3. The San Augustine Wolves will host the Garrison Bulldogs in a district game on Friday. Since 2008 the Wolves have won this matchup 6 times to Garrison’s 11. The last time these teams faced each other was a 31-30 slug fest in Garrison’s favor. SA is on a path to have their first winless season since 2009, whereas Garrison has been having an impressive season building upon their 4-5 2021 record where they made the playoffs and lost to Hawkins 31-20. San Augustine will be led on the field by Freshman QB Ty Cartwright who has shown impressive athleticism along with a few accurate deep balls. Surrounding him will be the teams leading receiver Senior Jamarion Henderson who is having his breakout year and Soph RB Kymron Davis and Freshman RB Andrew Nash who have both logged impressive games. On the defensive side you have Junior LB Alex Haskins who has been all over the field making tons of plays and Junior S Demarion Teagle making plenty open field tackles. They’re coming off a 46-59 loss to Shelbyville. For Garrison Junior QB Brayden Davidson will lead an offense on a hot streak coming off a 56-8 win against Grapeland last week and a 64-34 win in Shelbyville the week before. He has thrown for over 500 yards with an 11-1 TD to INT ratio. But they are a run heavy team led by Juniors Omarion Raspberry and Javien Black. Raspberry is averaging 9.3 yards per carry to the tune of 900 yards. Black has 580. Familiar names lead their defense as well with Brayden Davidson leading the way with 95 tackles 10 tfl and a sack from the LB position, and Javien Black with 64 tackles, 10 tfl, and 3 sacks. These teams always play each other hard and with a lot of passion. Will the Wolves be able to capture their first win of the season or will Garrison continue their impressive stretch into the playoffs?
  4. The Alto Yellowjackets will renew their rivalry with the Garrison Bulldogs when they travel to Garrison this Friday; kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The Jackets and Bulldogs last met in 2019 in Garrison with Alto winning 26-7. This will be the 45th time the teams have met with Garrison holding the series record 24-18-2. The Jackets defeated San Augustine on Saturday 22-8 while the Bulldogs fell (surprisingly) to Warren 25-22. Schedules and results for the 2022 season thus far: Shelbyville 48 - Alto 44 Alto 48 - West Sabine 22 Alto 22 - San Augustine 8 Garrison 35 - Hugh Springs 30 Garrison 28 - Arp 21 Warren 25 - Garrison 22 ALTO-GARRISON SERIES All-Time Record for Alto: 600 wins | 382 losses | 34 ties | 1,016 total games All-Time Record for Garrison: 548 wins | 286 losses | 13 ties | 847 total games All-Time Series Record: Garrison - 24 wins | Alto - 18 wins | 2 ties Garrison's longest winning streak vs. Alto: 5 wins in a row (1966-1970 | 1976-1987) Alto's longest winning streak vs. Garrison: 9 wins in a row (1988-1998) Current streak: Alto won 26-7 in 2019; haven’t played since. I think I am missing one year. In 1973, there was a 6-6 tie, but I can’t find any record of the year before or after 1973. We had to have played twice because of realignment. This Friday should be a good test! Both teams are 2-1. Who moves to 3-1?
  5. Think this was pretty decent...#11 Sophomore Ja'christopher Shepherd of Garrison (4th down TD catch and run) with #11 Senior Drew Dacus of Hawkins defending
  6. Tentatively scheduled to shoot this rematch of last year's bi-district game between the Garrison Bulldogs and the Hawkins Hawks. Last year the Bulldogs took down the undefeated Hawks, so this should be a lively rematch. Game to be played at Bruce Bradshaw Stadium on the West Rusk ISD campus New London TX. You will be able to view the photos on my Facebook page, "Sport Shot Photography by Ronnie Sartors" Here are some of my photos of last year's game at Henderson Lion Stadium

  8. Can L-K chain up the Bulldogs?? Or will the Tigers get mauled ??
  9. The Alto Yellowjackets (3-0) will travel to Garrison (1-1) to take on the Bulldogs Friday, September 20th. The Jackets are coming off back-to-back shutouts of Timpson 45-0 and New Diana 50-0. The #8 Bulldogs fell in a “dawg fight” to #5 San Augustine 36-28, after defeating Crockett last week 38-32. The Mean Sting has a big test this week! Who takes it?
  10. Rematch time! The Alto Yellowjackets (8-3) will take on the Garrison Bulldogs (9-2) in the Area round of the 2A high school playoffs at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 23rd at Nacogdoches High School. Garrison is home; Alto visitors. The Bulldogs defeated the Jackets 35-21 in Week 4 of the regular season in a pre-district contest. The score was tied 21-21 with around 4 minutes left in the game when Garrison pulled away. The Jackets turned the ball over 7 times in that game! Can the Mean Sting avenge the loss in Round 2 or do the Dawgs win their 10th straight game? ALTO ( 8-3 / 4-1 ) W1 - @ PALESTINE WESTWOOD 48-28 W2 - TIMPSON 51-27 W3 - @ NEW DIANA 32-14 W4 - GARRISON 21-35 W5 - CORRIGAN-CAMDEN 26-39 W6 - BYE W7 - BIG SANDY 21-12 W8 - @ PRICE CARLISLE 12-55 W9 - CUSHING 27-8 W10 - HAWKINS 55-0 W11 - @ UNION GROVE 34-0 W12 - NORMANGEE 47-16 GARRISON ( 9-2 / 6-0 ) W1 - @ TYLER TK GORMAN 41-42 W2 - CROCKETT 20-34 W3 - @ SAN AUGUSTINE 48-39 W4 - @ ALTO 35-21 W5 - JOAQUIN 35-15 W6 - @ LINDEN-KILDARE 49-35 W7 - TIMPSON 41-18 W8 - @ BECKVILLE 41-35 W9 - TENAHA 49-42 W10 - @ HARLETON 34-6 W11 - BYE W12 - GROVETON 56-27
  11. The Alto Yellowjackets (3-0) host their old district rival Garrison Bulldogs (1-2) this coming Friday. The Jackets are coming off a penalty-filled game at New Diana (32-14 W) while the Bulldogs surprised some by defeating state-ranked San Augustine (48-39). The Mean Sting has had some great battles with the ‘Dawgs through the years and I figure this will be another one to add to the list. Looking forward to the Friday night lights in Alto on the 21st! Who takes this game?
