In 1935, Jack Skipper tallier three touchdowns, while George Black scored twice as Longview dominated Marshall, 40-6, at Maverick Stadium. In 1940, H.J Burns rushed from one yard out in the third quarter to lift Longview to a 6-0 win over Dallas Woodrow Wilson at Lobo Stadium. In 1957, Bubba Agnor rushed for an 8-yard score in the 1st quarter before Longview’s Douglas Bruner caught a 4-yard scoring tally as Longview and Marshall battled to a 7-7 deadlock at Lobo Stadium. In 1963, James Street rushed from three yards out with 10 minutes left in the contest to lift Longview to a 13-8 victory over Marshall at Lobo Stadium. Glenn Cobb scored Longview’s other touchdown on the day. In 1968, Alton Coley scored two touchdowns while the Lobos jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead in a 42-12 beatdown of Marshall Pemberton at Maverick Stadium. The Lobo defense produced 8 turnovers on the night. In 1969, Ronnie Davis rushed for two touchdowns while 5 other Lobos tallied on the Saturday afternoon as Longview knocked off Marshall Pemberton, 51-6, at Lobo Stadium. The Lobos rushed for 225 yards on the night. In 2019, 6 different Lobos scored touchdowns on the night including 2 interception returns for scores from Patrick Webb as Longview steamrolled Tyler Lee, 49-7, at Lobo Stadium, to win their 25th consecutive contest.
