Ratface
As much as I hate both of these two teams and their ultra-obnoxious fans, there's no doubt in my mind that these were the two best teams in MLB in 2009. I'm hoping for an epic seven game World Series (which means that it will probably go for four or five!)

cheaptrick77
As much as I hate both of these two teams and their ultra-obnoxious fans Obnoxious fans are found all around our nation (ever been to a Cowboys game?) . . . I like the way the Phillies play Baseball, in spite of their fans! :)

DaveTV1
I love the teamwork that Giarardi has established. This is no longer a me team. This isn't going to be an easy Series, and a lot of hardwork has to come about. There's only one person that I don't like on the Yankees now. The rest go about their business, and try to make things happen. C.C. and Tex are becoming leaders on this team, and it is showing. I'm going with the Phillies in 6, and hope the Yankees prove me wrong.
WestRusk85
Phillies in 7 at least I hope, don't like the Yankees. Only person on the team I like is Jeter.

cheaptrick77
Eddie Waitkus, 1B- "the natural" ^ yep, I almost mentioned that! ;) . . . along with the fact that both Game 1 starters (Vic Raschi and Jim Konstanty) were named to The Sporting News MLB All-Star Team in 1950. chase.colston
Mellon wishes. I know the Yankees' performances in the ALDS and ALCS have him worried. Yankees pitching is better, hitting is better and defense is just as good. I'll take my boys in 5.

Ratface
My prediction has finally come to me: Phillies in seven. Greatest World Series since the epic series of 2001 and 1991. Jayson Werth wins the MVP award, and A-Fraud wilts under the WS pressure. Also, Eddie Waitkus was the alias used by Jack McKay, as his son recognized back in 2000. Cheesy, I know, but I loved that show!

DaveTV1
The Yankees looked like they partied too hard over the last couple of days. Cliff Lee was throwing some great pitches, but that's not an excuse. The Yankees better lick their wounds, and hopefully they've been humbled at their own stadium. Chase Utley got the best of Sabathia tonight. Hopefully the Yankees will remember this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3_EVWZTCM4 , and strike back. Ratface
Great performance by Lee and the Phillies last night. He was nothing short of dominant in every sense of the word. Still can't believe a major leaguer could make as boneheaded a baserunning gaffe as Matsui did last night! Hard to believe.
