Sorry for the delay in reporting results from the tournament, folks. had a lot to do yesterday and this morning (Friday).

Club pro Tom Adair successfully defended his Tyler Putt-Putt city title August 11, holding off Walter Treat by a stroke in the pros division. Adair finished with a 13-under-par score of 95 for 54 holes to Treat's 12-under-par score of 96. Gary Plain finished third in the pros with a four-under-par score of 104.

Tournament rules stated the lone amateur player in the field, Scott Myers, had to beat at least one pro player to win the amateur division...and Myers did with a seven-under-par total of 101, equaling his score he shot back in 2006 to win the Open II division.

Other divisional winners included Mason Spradlin in the 18-49 division (a score of three-under-par 105), Ben Harrison in the 14-15 division (a score of four-over-par 112), and Will Harrison in the 9-12 division (a score of 19-over-par 127).

In all, 14 players participated in the Tyler Putt-Putt Golf and Games championship. Each player received a commemorative T-shirt just for playing.

A photo of the winners is in Friday's (August 13th) edition of the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
