What happened to the Lady Pirates against John Tyler. That seems to be a pretty big upset. Did JT play above their heads or did PT have a let down or both? Hope the Lady Pirates bounce back. They have a big one against Hallsville coming up.

Have to give credit to JT for playing well (not over their heads), but PT was definitely off. JT did a good job of taking advantage. I felt if PT could have won a game, the momentum would have swung their way. But the first two games weren't even competitive and JT was able to hold PT off in a close game 3 to finish out the match.

Some factors going against PT:

- The week before, they lost a player (who plays all the way around) to injury and were still adjusting to that.

- Right before the JT match, a PT player (who sets and plays all the way around) became ill and could not play resulting in additional lineup changes.

- PT played all the top district teams at home in the first half; this was their first road match against a competitive district team.

No excuses though; I would still have expected PT to win the match and could not believe they were swept. And you're right, they play at Hallsville tomorrow, so they need to fix it quick.

I heard about Kendall's knee injury. I hate that, she is a good kid and a fine athlete. An ill setter is never good. Not taking anything away from JT either, but that does make a little more sense. Good Luck against the Lady Bobcats tomorrow.
