itsmeagain Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Daingerfield beats Gladewater in 3 sets at home...young players for Dfield really stepped up their game tonight. Libero had a great defensive match - as usual - on her birthday. Go Lady Tigers!!!! At Redwater Tournament this weekend. :D :D :D
topher805 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Grapeland beat Elkhart 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-22). A big win since Elkhart beat Grapeland in tournament play once already this year. Grapeland and Elkhart will both be in the Centerville tournament this weekend. A good tournament with a lot of quality teams. It will show a lot about some of the area teams and whether they are pretenders or contenders.
Parisian Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Paris beat Prairiland, 3-1. Paris now 6-5 and Prairiland 11-4. Both teams have lost a ton of talent off last year's squads, but Paris may have played its best match of the season and still has all-state middle blocker Andi Bawcum. North Lamar beat Sulphur Springs, 3-0, to go to 11-1 (only loss was to Prosper in the finals of the Prosper tournament). Pantherettes look like the team to beat in District 15-3A with the deepest returning roster. Nobody in 15-3A is going to challenge Lovejoy, Argyle, or Prosper in the region but it should be a pretty competitive district race.
kramer Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Sabine beat Overton 3-0 improving their record to 11-4. The lady Cards are on a 9 game winning streak.
2seamer Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hooks beat Pleasant Grove 3-1 in Hooks. Lady Hornets are going to be tough heading into district play.
