So basically he was an arrogant, partying, money hungry pre-madonna beforehand. Gotcha!

Spring practice for the Aggies began Saturday, less than two months after Manziel accounted for four touchdowns and had a Cotton Bowl-record 516 total yards in a 41-13 win over Oklahoma, including an FBS bowl record for quarterbacks with his 229 yards rushing on 17 carries.

My favorite line from the article :D

It may be your opinion, but definitely sounds like his success has gotten under your skin seeing as how you ### and moan about him constantly.

All I know is the kid has been great for the university. ESPN just flew Herbie and crew down for a 3 minute interview. The trophy case is stacked full. A&M is the 'hot' commodity is this state for the time being. And most of that comes from JFF. I personally don't have a problem with the things that are going on around his life right now. The kid got thrust into tornado of celebrity-ness and as long as he ain't doing nothing illegal and stays eligible I'm fine with it.

I'm confused. What are the trophies filling the trophy case? Manzeil gets to keep the ones he won.

I think there are alot of 'hot' commodities out there right now, not just A&M. did you read the most recent issue of SI? there is a huge article about OSU and another about Tech in there. You people are just so full of yourselves, you cannot see past your own noses. Seriously makes me sick. And yes, the opinion of most non-aggies out there is that Manziel is an 'arrogant, money hungry pre-madonna'. Opinion! Got it?

Yes, the TECH article is regarding Rising Young Coaches in college football....Kingsbury is a young coach who has risen to a head coaching position at his alma mater where he set multiple school records. He also would NOT have gotten this opportunity had A&M not done as well as they did this year with their switch to the SEC, their winning record, and the historical Heisman win by our RS freshmen QB. JMO....A&M helped thrust him into that "rising star" role for the issue. And if you say he did well at Houston before A&M, you'd be correct. But that's also thanks to Kevin Sumlin giving him that opportunity there as well and bringing him with him to A&M.

I think it's safe to say that A&M IS the hot commodity in THIS STATE, as well as NCAA Football right now. In regards to the OSU article: are you talking about Ohio State or Oklahoma State? B/c yes, Ohio State is in an article due to their PROBLEMS over this past season with what Tressell did and how Meyer was the only coach to go undefeated this year with no Bowl chance. I don't really think that's a "hot commodity" issue more than it is a "#### to be you this past year" issue. They quite could have possibly been the only OTHER team to beat Bama this year...just sayin'. If it was Oklahoma State then their "hot commodity" is now their basketball team...if anything about football it was dealing with their awesome recruiting class and how a few recruits bolted on them...again, not a very good "hot commodity" issue there as well.

Seriously guys??

What student athlete in college right now is NOT money hungry and partying? As far as arrogance goes on JFF: I believe the MEDIA portrays this arrogance you speak of. Johnny doesn't talk about how many yards, touchdowns, hot females, etc that he gets. He doesn't write the SI articles, the yahoo sports articles, the 3 minute interviews for ESPN with Herbstreet....pretty sure you can thank the media on those as well.

Pre-madonna?? How is finding loop-holes in law, going to a casino in Oklahoma legally, taking online classes when available, and changing a play during a game b/c you have that power being the QB being a pre-madonna?

I don't agree with some of the things he's done in public b/c yes, it does show signs of not caring what people think and he should've held himself to a higher standard, but let's not get into how many students athletes forget that aspect while in college....

Down in this part of the country, OSU means Oklahoma State. Yes, there actually was some stuff in there about Ohio State too, but I was referring to OKie Light. The article about young up and coming coaches was 3/4 about KK and the rest touched on 3 or 4 others.

You proved my point about the A&M arrogance by stating that KK is only our head coach because of A&M. Had you just said it was because of Kevin Sumlin, I would agree. But I believe that KK would have been the front runner even if they had stayed at Houston. JMO

Trademarking his nickname (I personally think this is stupid of anyone who does it), taking ONLY online classes (not just some when available)...because he just can't handle the pictures and autographs no less (gag), and now the lawsuit. THAT is what makes him an Arrogant premadonna! And before anyone assumes that my opinion of him is based soley on him being an Aggie, I had the same opinion of Cam Newton after just ONE season as well. He just didn't take it as far as to only take online courses while still in college.

Oh my goodness....

  • Get Kingsbury a nickname. Suggestions include "GQ," "Hollywood," and "Swagger."
  • Get Kingsbury a professional stylist, specifically Fred Segal, who has apparently styled "Micheal" Jackson, Brad Pitt, Madonna, Ashley Olson, Bruce Willis, The Beatles, Carrie Underwood, and Adam Lambert. "The list goes on," boasts Spieglberg.
  • Get Kingsbury on the "B-list," which will somehow lead to his being invited to the Oscars and Grammys. Also New York Fashion Week

Every coach in the country wants a professional stylists and to be on the b-list in hollywood. L O L

Luckily, this is just one persons opinion of what to do with Kliff. My opinion is, he already has all that on his own, no need for a stylist, no need for a nickname, he already has friends in Hollywood. The guy who wrote that is an idiot and I am sure that the athletic department of every school gets those kind of emails EVERYDAY from fanatic fans. I promise you that A&M has brainstormed on what other ways they can use Manziel to their advantage--don't think they haven't.

And that's all both of us have OR believe....is our opinion. My opinion, and that of many analysts, media outlets, bloggers, fans, non-fans, and a plethora of others believe it WAS A&M's success and that of Johnny's that made Kliff the front-runner. Who would tech have rather had: An OC from a school in its first year in the SEC that beat Bama (only team to do so), went 11-2 while averaging 45 pts a game and winning a Heisman trophy...or a team that went 5-7 in the Big-East, lost to Texas State convincingly, averaging 44 pts a game?

Yeah, my money is on a guy coming from the previous school. Granted, KK might have had a FEW possibilities where he could've been the man calling all the offensive plays and what not, but 11-2 (SEC) and 5-7 (Big East) should speak by themselves. I'd go with a guy under 11-2 than 5-7. Period.

I never said people from A&M haven't been, but that email was hilarious. The last thing in the world Kliff wants to be doing is walking the red carpet at hollywood events. I know he is "fashionable", but no self-respecting coach would do that. Dude that wrote the email has lost it

So him simply using a rap lingo that's used in plenty of mainstream music makes him arrogant? lol

I guess little 4-5 year olds in one of my friends kindergarten classes is an arrogant pre-madonna because he talks about his swag too?

I have no clue who you are talking about. There were 3 finalists for the job, Kliff, Art Briles (who, at this point in time would not really have considered the job) and Chad Morris. All great candidates. And the opinion of the Tech powers that be are the only ones that really matter here and Kliff had been in their sights before he ever made the move with Sumlin........they knew that Tuberville was a shortimer and that they would be making a change. But go ahead and think that........I know you will not agree, but you do not know for sure, now do you? I am done with this. Back to the topic at hand...............
