Guest 4to3
A great teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent of the Daingerfield school system. Coach Lewis E. "Mickey" Mayne passed away today in Daingerfield. Coach Mayne also worked at Winnsboro ISD. He was inducted into his Cuero High School's hall of fame in 2006. Daingerfield renamed its football stadium Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium in his honor in 2009. Coach Mayne taught history and guided his Daingerfield track and field team to a state championship in 1962. Rest in peace Coach Mayne. As we mourn, we know God received another angel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lew_Mayne
Justafannow
That's a shame, he was one of the best I was fortunate to be the track coach at Daingerfield in 1985 when we had the first Mickey Mayne Relays
GoBigBlue
Coach Mayne and his wife were very dear to me. Had the fortune of being their neighbor growing up. Mrs. Mayne taught me English in Jr.high. Hate to hear of his passing.

BunzT
I never forgave Mickey for taking Betty Lou away from DF in the 5th grade. His love for his town and school never faded. Always a great family.
