A&M and Missouri (smooth transition to SEC)

Many SEC fans felt strongly that A&M and Missouri would be fortunate to go 4-4 their first few years in the SEC. That adjustment would be difficult. Well, A&M went 6-2 last year, 4-1 in the toughest division in college football (SEC West), defeated the ultimate national champion and produced the Heis winner. Now this year, Mizzou will likely get to the SeC Championship game. Impressive! What say you?

The Overall "SEC Depth" was always overrated by the media.

Injuries to Georgia and Florida have provided Missouri an opportunity and they have taken advantage of if.

This is as much a slap in the face to the SEC faithful as it is to the Big12 faithful. SEC faithful constantly said "no way middle of the road big 12 teams can compete with us" and it's safe to say that has been proven wrong. Big 12 faithful were hoping both teams would be terrible and that has been proven wrong.

In the end, it's like that old saying "it's never as good as you think it is and it's never quite as bad as you think it is"

Tell me something, what do you think A&M's record would have been with Sherman has the HC last year instead of Sumlin?

Also, Missouri was bad last year. Not decent, really bad... They beefed up our basketball prowess though. Missouri was typically a North contender forever in the Big XII. Feeding on the weak side of the Big XII... they are doing the same in the SEC.

A lot of folks were very very wrong and I am loving it. The Sec was and is great for A&M in forms of cultural change, money, facilites upgrades, recruiting, national brand, ect

For the record I don't think mizzu makes it to the Sec game but both teams are far better off in the Sec than ever in the Bevo 10.

Look at the Ags best season in the dumpster fire conference 1998. A&M didn't enjoy as much respect given than they did last season. By the way 3 times the Aggies were the most watch game this season including the fsu/clemson game last week. So it was a good move lol.

Nice to know we're still in your head.

Only an aggie would deny that A&M's immediate success in the SEC speaks well of the Big12.

How does that speak well of the Big XII at all? Or are you just trying to delude yourself?

It was obviously a new A&M team with a new coach, new QB, new system, new everything. A&M went on to clobber the Big XII Co-Champions in the bowl game (your other champion got humiliated as well). It's not like A&M of last year was the same A&M of the 10 years prior (although the 2010 team did split the South) which struggled in the Big XII. If Sherman was the coach, A&M went 10-2 and then got beat bad by OU in the Cotton Bowl, I could see how you'd say, "That A&M team which did well in the SEC was the same one that was a middle of the road Big XII team". But nothing is further from the truth.

Again, you are quite delusional if you think that it speaks well for the Big XII.

I don't think A&M even wins 8. I think they lose to ole miss and Bama for sure. Might have lost to la tech as well. Sumlin brought to A&M what kingsbury has brought to tech, confidence and swagger.

Agreed on all accounts. Coach Sumlin changed SO much stuff with the A&M. Black jerseys, icy white jerseys, intro to that Kanye West song instead of only that march in drum cadence, celebrating in the locker room with players, you name it.

Depth was an issue when? Perhaps this year but the year...maybe. The SEC has more than proved its depth over the years. I'm sure it will do so again! Mizzou seems to have a good team and a very tough defense. Good for them and good for the SEC!!!! However, they have not won anything yet and neither has A&M except its bowl game slaughter of the big 12 co-champ when A&M finished tied for 5th is the SEC! That sound like pretty good depth to me. A&M is currently tied for 4th (3 teams) and was again tied for 5th before the Ole MS victory last Saturday night.

Mizzou finished last year tied for 10th! So, I would not say that either team has conquered the SEC just yet. Perhaps Mizzou will this year, if so good for them when they go forward and represent the SEC in the National championship!

The SEC is proud to have both teams and both teams add tremendously to our great over depth!!!

Jealous bevo 10 lovers ignore facts and come up with excusrs in 3 2 1.

aTm would've won the Big 12 and been in the NC game if they were in the Big 12 last year. Their hasty move backfired on them in just the first year of being in the SEC. Now they are there and when JF leaves they will fall in the SEC ranks.

Mizzou's success this year is due to Florida, South Carolina and Georgia being over rated. BAma will beat them handily in the SEC Championship game.

Just start chanting HLion.....you'll get that warm, fuzzy sense of belonging to the SEC instead of being "cousin eddie" in the Big 12.

A&M was a Big12 team with Big12 recruits when it entered the SEC. Playing to a 11-2 record had nothing to do with residing in the SEC. In other words, there wasn't some magical dust that Slive sprinkled on y'all to make you better.

A&M is in the process of evolving into a SEC style team. Y'all brought a Big12 brand of football to the SEC and were successful.

A&M was a Team that played a lot of freshman with a new coach, with a new scheme, with a new QB, a Sr. O line and a experienced nucleus on defense with recruits that were recruited to play in the SEC both offense and defense. A team that lead most every game into the 4th qtr their last year in the 12 and did could not finish but was on the edge of putting it all together. they had Sherman no Sumlin, that and their recruits and Manziel was the difference. That was all. If Sherman would have been the coach the best they would have done would have been 5-7. If Sumlin would have coached A&M in the big 12 last year, they would have gone 12 -0.! mainly because the 12 sucked last year and they are even worse this year. If you do not think so you are not even fooling yourself because deep down you know better. You Stink!!!

KEEP IN MIND, A&M FINISHED TIED for 5TH in SEC last year & BEAT #### out of the Big 12 CO-CHAMP! You act like they won the SEC. Are you mentally challenged or a Democrat or something? Didn't your mama every tell you that stupid is what stupid doesn't or says???? All you haters can keep hating but that does nothing to change the fact that it does nothing to make your sorry teams any better or substitute for the fact that now your conference has move to being ranked as the 4th or 5th best out of 10.

Y'all are terrible as a whole and getting worse!!!!

Misery just prematurely ejaculated all over the place. They've gotta hope they can run the table now. USC and the HBC pretty much hold their destiny in their hands again.

Not the most difficult stretch of games left though. Tennessee at home, at Kentucky and ole miss. Those are 3 very winnable games which would put them hosting A&M to end the year with conference championship implications. If they are division champion quality they can pull that stretch off.

I just don't see them knocking off A&M. USC has a pretty winable conference schedule the rest of the way. Clemson in the finale won't matter because it's not a conference game.

LMAO. ^ Does that qualify as a hissy fit?^

Relax. Nothing I said endangers your precious SEC when it comes to status.
