theblueguy
The District 13-3A championship comes down to this game between 4-0 teams. Paris hasn't been challenged through their four district games and are aiming for their third straight district championship. L-E won 2 of their district games by a lot of points, beat NL by 10 and escaped with a 3-point win over Atlanta last week. Paris and L-E will be the district's Division 1 representatives in the playoffs, so this one will decide the seeding there too. So who wins this one? This game will come down to O-D Line play and Special Teams IMO. LE will match up Athlete. go LEOPARDS
Dubb
I have to go with the battle-tested Leopards. They have been through so much this year, reminds me of the '06 team.
downtheline
Having been beaten solidly by both teams...IMHO Paris should win. Speed wise they match up well with LE. I think that Paris is more physical on defense. OL from Paris is better. Almost in a dirty way but within the rules. Paris by 10.
CanAm
Tough one!!! Gonna be VERY physical. Hope the Leopards pull it out but just want them to be healthy for the playoffs. LE 30 Paris

Parisian
Paris O-line has really been the difference maker in district. Jerry Brannen (from Pitt) has done an outstanding job working with this group. They're opening huge running lanes for the two sophomores. During the 4 district games, the quarterback has 55 carries for 504 yards, 9.2 avg per carry, and 4 TDs rushing and another 645 yards passing with 7 TDs. Running back has 55 carries for 355, 6.5 avg, and 8 TDs. Yes, it was against some porous defenses, but still impressive considering the inept offensive showing in pre-district. L-E defense will be a good test of their improvement. The Paris defense has been solid all year (except for bad performance vs. Melissa). Yes, Paris got routed in pre-district by some pretty good teams, but it wasn't the defense's fault. They were placed in bad situations by offense and special teams turnovers. The two Paris linebackers are beasts. BTW, Paris held Atlanta to 158 yards rushing, and that was on a good field and with a healthy Musgrove at QB. Paris is averaging 39.5 points a game during district and giving up 10. L-E is averaging 38.5 and 13.8. Paris is currently on a 16-game district win streak and is playing at home on a night when the 1988 state championship team will be having its 25-year reunion. This should be a good game, but all the indicators point to Paris. The winner of this game has a chance of going 4 rounds deep in the playoffs. The loser is facing an early exit due to the bracket disparity.
68Hornet
Loser could be catching Kilgore in second round, winner wouldn't play Kilgore until fourth round. Looks like Paris may be more healthy for this game. If L-E turns the ball over like they did last week it will be a rout. If they don't this game will be decided in the fourth quarter. Experience and Davion Hall is on L-E's side. This will be a good game.
Parisian
The loser faces Kaufman (8-2) in the first round. They may not survive to see Kilgore in round 2.

LE has a few kids that can take it from anywhere on the field I'm just hoping that we can get out of this game injury free

Our running back have carried the ball 58 times for 606 yards and 6 TDs..

This is the first time we have had that in a long time. On top of that, our defense and special teams look pretty darn good!!!
Dubb
I think Davion Hall will be the difference. He can score from anywhere on the field. Through his high school career, he has scored: 10 rushing TDs 9 receiving TDs 2 kick returns TDs 1 INT TD 1 passing TD 1 fumble return TD and 194 tackles( so far)

But it takes a team to win a state title. I don't think LE has enough pieces to make the run like the '99 and '06 groups did.

Hall is just one piece, he missed three game and they are used to playing without him. It is just when he is on the field you have to account for him. Dubb
But is the team good enough to win a state championship? I really believe so. They have all the making of a championship team. Defense is good, Offense can score at will. They showed that last friday night against Altanta. Scoring with less 2 minutes on the clock. Then to top it off special teams are the key. No team all year except for Texas High, has kicked the ball deep. Speed Speed Speed
TexarkanaIsNotArkansas
But is the team good enough to win a state championship? If you give this team the 06 O-Line in a kicker they would be! And the 06 team Besides LaMike and Will Middlebrooks everyone else was ok only two D1 athletes Also the 2010 and 2011 teams had more talent to do so also they just had the old offense and horrible play calling! I wouldn't say 50% unless he has improved greatly from last year, yes he has size and he's athletic but most of the time last year he was out there But don't get me wrong he has alot of potential tho
