Guest
This might possibly be the worst Dallas defense of all time. well, last years was for sure the worst, didnt they break records?
spacegolfer
Of course it helps when you play the Bears, which have the worst rated rushing defense in the NFL History is showing that the stat means nothing Teams have consistently done the opposite in games where these stats used. Immortal13
We are making that spare Josh McCown look like Joe Montana......just pitiful.
spacegolfer
Carr is being too soft on going after a tackle. Defense needs to be more aggressive and hit someone on the tackles.

flukeshot
Post game press conferences will be interesting as always. McCown now joins the All-Pro ranks McCown came into the game with a 103.6 QB rating and a higher completion percentage than Romo. The bigger surprise is that Dallas only has 14 points in the fourth quarter. That's like putting up negative thirty points against a normal team. Immortal13
This is sad. I would be flat out embarrassed to be a me member of the Dallas defense. They should get rid of the whole unit and start over.

Hard to score a lot of points when your opponent is scoring on every possession

The Cowboys have all but admitted they can't sign Hatcher. And he is probably the best player on a horrid defense. The truth is right in front of you They and other teams say all kinds of things during the season. If Dallas decides they want him to stay, they will get him signed. Hatcher is good but not the best on the defense.
spacegolfer
You will prob only hear excuses from 2 sources. Reality has set in for most Anything can be considered an excuse if that is the way one chooses to look at things. Reality gives you explanations for why things happen. Most common sense points to injured and new players. I agree with the two people you alluded to.
Doomer
This here aint really about excuses. The Cowboys was obviously the better team but Chicago exacuted better an beat Dallas with big plays. When the Red-coach puts his foot down with the defence an they starts dominat'n again, instaed of just look'n good most plays, Cowboys'll run the table again soon
badblackcat
That was the excuse last year...and the year before...and the year before Cowboys have now used 40 different players on defense. It certainly shows. When Lee was injured, the Bears suddenly began running up the middle, because Ernie Sims is terrible. If your driving down the road and your car runs out of gas, is it an excuse to say your car ran out of gas? The sports media has no such copunction about refraining from pointing out how injuries matter. Indy loses one guy (Reggie Wayne) and struggles. Large segments of the pre-show were dedicated to graphics about how the Bears were terrible on D because they miss two whole guys (Briggs and Tillman). Detriot lost one running back (Reggie Bush) and tanked against Philly. There was also the play that pretty much sums up the injury curse; McCown running like a wounded calf toward the endzone, and makes it because Bruce Irvin fell on his face without so much as a juke from the quarterback.
