Timpson won over SHS 4-0. Hunter Smith had the no-hit shut out with 8K's and only 2BB's. McSwain hit a 3 RBI homer in the third inning.

Today's game with Timpson and Joaquin will be big. Breaks the tie for third.

Joaquin wins, 7-0. That leaves it like this after round 1, I think:

1. Douglas 7-0

2. Cushing 6-1

3. Joaquin 5-2

4. Timpson 4-3

5. Shelbyville 3-4

The 3 playoff seeds will come out of those 5.

There is one ballgame left to play in the first round this Friday. But if everyone beats who they are suppose to then Rd 1 will look like this.

1. Douglas 8-0

2. Cushing 7-1
3. Joaquin 6-2
4. Timpson 5-3
5. Shelbyville 4-4

6. Mount Enterprise 3-5

7. Martinsville 2-6

8. Tenaha 1-7

9.Chinero 0-9

Should be a very interesting 2nd Rd, lots of close games in Rd 1.

Rd 2 will start off with a big game on Saturday with Cushing Vs Joaquin.

Tenaha is still 0-6 in District 21 1A. They still haven't played Douglass and will have to play Chireno in a double header on April 15th. First round game with the Owls got moved to the dbl header. I think Joaquin is 5-2 in district with Chireno still left to play in the first round too. Timpson should be 4-3 with Chireno left, first round.

Lance Lawson grand-slam in first inning. Tanner Williams 1 hit pitching performance, gave up lead-off single. No walks.

just saw where Joaquin is starting to be ranked in the top 20 by some publications. havent been to a single game of theirs but i have heard they have several younger kids contributing. may be contenders in the very near future.

Let me expand on this: they've got 5 kids getting time on the mound. 1 is a senior, who due to injuries, is pitching for the 1st time since he was a freshman. He's worked 5 innings so far, has yet to give up a hit. He's got a huge upside. 2 are sophomores, 1of which pitched a 1 hitter on Monday. The other 2 are freshmen. This team is starting to hit its stride, under a 1st year head coach. They seem really focused.
