I'm going to take Gilmer by 2td's. They're up a touchdown late and Tatum goes for it on 4th down and does not get it and Gilmer scores on the next play putting the dagger in the heart.

We'll take it! As long as it's a "W" we don't care if it's by 1 point or 40! Us old folk like the easier wins, however. Easier on the ticker!

About a 5 1/2 point difference according to PigSkin Prep in favor of Gilmer. I don't think that power rating is worth a flip until about 5 or 6 games are played on the schedule witness Waskom as a 36 point favorite over Center and Newton as a favorite over Tatum

Like y'all don't have a bye week this week.......

Maybe it'll be a "bye week" next week, too! :)

Seriously, though, it's shaping up like an early season preview of playoff teams that will likely meet later in the playoffs. Both teams are good. It's been a while since we got the opportunity to whoop up on Tatum... ^_^ Could be a barnburner!

Might be.. Last time y'all came to Tatum it seemed that way.

Will be the first real test for both teams.

First and foremost I am a homer and I know that, but Tatum has me scratching my head so far.

Fairfield was suppose to run over us with their offense, but the defense had them quitting before the 1st live quarter was over. I believe they scored once the entire time and that was against our 2nd team with a few JV mixed in. So is Fairfield not as good as people think. The next week they put up 47 against Madisonville.

Newton was a top ranked team, but could not get anything going against us and should have been shut out besides a turnover at the end of the game that gave them a short field.

Then there is the fact that our back up QB Brooks went 16-22 passing for 239 yards. 11 different runners carried the ball.

So is Tatum that good or is Fairfield and Newton just down this year?

I've got to watch both teams and I give the slight nod as of now to Gilmer on Offense, slight nod to Tatum on Defense and Special teams goes to Tatum.

I'm going to say Tatum wins this one in a close one because it is in Tatum and there will not be the standard two touchdowns called back that usually happens in Gilmer.

No way tatum get lucky two games in a row

From what I hear, Newton is way down this year and will get exposed the next few games.

Not saying Tatum got lucky, but not saying Tatum will win either.

Even though against my better judgement I voted for them.

Something tells me Traylor will hold back and save it for the playoffs.
