FlamingJ
Fairfield big. Â After seeing Palestine live it was pretty clear they are hurting on the lines on both sides of the ball. Jacksonville is not the biggest team up front, but they dominated both sides of the line. Â Palestine has a decent running back who is big (6'1 210) and still have Gee Clark at QB. Clark is a good QB, but he is going to struggle this year.
phswildcatsfan
This is yet another chance for the young Cats to get better. Playing top teams will only make them better. Palestine has some injury issues, and indeed has work to do to be a good team but I look for them to put things together a bit in week 3 and keep it close. Who knows what will happen if they can do that. If not it will be another long Friday Night.
toohottohandle
Didn't Fairfield graduate a lot from last years team? Â I didn't realize Palestine has all these injuries. Who are they?
Footballfanatic90
Fairfield lost almost all the starters from offense, but return almost all from that vicious defense last year. They will be a hard out come playoff time. Â Eagles over the Wildcats by 3 or more TDs.

toohottohandle
Palestine always has great athletes as does Fairfield. Let's get it started. I think Palestine has forgotten how to play defense. How do you give up 136 points in 3 games with all these athletes you say they have?
phswildcatsfan
Wow, this game had many positives for the Wildcats. They had several good defensive plays, but just as many bad ones 8 offsides penalties did not help at all. Fairfield victimized the Cats with the big plays late in the game. score was 21-7 at the half, should have been 14-7. Big mistake on kick coverage after a score that put Palestine back in the ball game. Cats came out playing well to start the second half and tied the game at 21. Then... looked as though they recovered a kick, however I saw it and the referees made a good call. We were guilty of fair catch interference. The wheels kind of fell off the cart after that. Mims had a big night for us. Still searching for the passing game to complement the hard nosed downhill running style of Mims. Fairfield played an outstanding game and deserved the victory. BTW, How is the kid that was injured in the 1st qtr? Best wishes for a speedy recovery for this young man. Palestine can build on the positives in this one. We took a few steps forward tonight. We also took a few steps back. These young Cats must eliminate mental mistakes and penalties that negate big plays on both defense and offense. This alone will keep them in most games. I know the scoreboard does not show it nor does a 0-3 record but these kids are getting better each week. That is due to the hardwork and countless hours Coach Brown and his staff have put in as well as the hard work and desire to be better by these young men. We still have a long way to go but fans and parents do not give up on this staff, and players, trust in your coaches and yourselves. Challenge yourself to stay focused on the job at hand for 4 qtr, with no outside distractions. If a bad play happens do not let your emotions carry over to the next play, and most importantly do not cheat yourself on the practice field. If you do not work as hard as you can you will never be the best you can be. Be ready to play next week. Take what you need from this one and move on.
