HogHater
Really starting this topic because I know nothing of Sunnyvale. Are they 3A, 2A, 1A? Where are they located? Does Redwater have a chance to win its homecoming?
rubberhammer
Sunnyvale is a 3A Div Reg 2 team. Good offensively, can put up points. Not sure about their defense, they gave up 40 points to Eustace who runs a similar offense you guys do. They scored 51 in that game though

coachc45
Sunnyvale -- will run spread offense. Has excellent RB. Good QB and several pretty good receivers. Play pretty good O-line too. Well Coached and will get after you for 4 quarters. Defensively they are a work in progress. Getting used to new scheme. Good DC so its only a matter of time before they get it down. You will be in a Dogfight. Tough 'W' to get on Homecoming.
yukoncornelius
Sunnyvale's strength is its receivers. Two very talented guys on the outside and speed on the inside. They are rotating two QB's, both of whom have had success. Many of the starters were on the state championship baseball team. Kids know how to win. Coach Settle has done a great job with this program. They will definitely be a tough W for homecoming.
HogHater
Look forward to the game now. Sounds like it will be good preparation entering district. Redwater is 2-2 right now with a loss to White Oak and a very close loss to Hooks. The wins are against Queen City and a thriller of a win over LK. Redwater is going to score. The will drive the ball 4 yards at a time. Speed kills RW. Hooks was a perfect example of that.
mikev14x
I think Sunnyvale takes this one.
RandyJohnson
Sunnyvale is a relatively new school district. For many years, the kids that lived in and around this small town were shuttled to the Mesquite ISD...mostly to Mesquite High and Poteet High in that district. During the past 10 to 15 years the town began to be developed and the Sunnyvale ISD then built it's own High School. Sunnyvale is located off of Hwy. 80 roughly next to AND due east of Mesquite...just inside of Dallas County. The Raiders are the schol's mascot. Hope this helps...HogHater. HogHater
With Sunnyvale being 4-0, if RW pulls out the victory, hopefully it will provide some much needed confidence.
LandonTheJet
Sunnyvale poses a huge threat through the air, but RB Khalaf has big-play potential as well. He had 960 yds and 14 TDs last season. LB Allen came into the season as preseason defensive MVP of the district coming off a 144 tkl season last year. The unfamiliarity of RW's flex bone should throw SV's defense for a whirl, but SV's offense could do the same to the Dragons. I'm expecting a very high-scoring affair, something in the realm of 49-42. Hopefully RW gets the W on HC week, moves to 3-2, and head into district play riding a three-game win streak. Go Dragons! And, as always, don't forget to tune in to Kool 95.1FM for all you local fans, and for those who may be elsewhere, you can tune in online at freedamsports.com and select the "Redwater" link. Moreover, you can download the tunein radio app from the App Store and search the call letters "KEWL" or simply "Kool 95.1" and listen to the game. OLEMAN
Sunnyvale won 19-14. Maybe our dist is not as down as I though except for DF. They are down. They will probably be talking coaching change. I think when u lose 22 seniors you deserve a rebuild year. JS

OLEMAN
Svale finished 5 th in district last year with Farmersville, Pottsboro, and Van Alstyne. What is the dist prediction this year. Seem like I saw the are picked up in Dist this year. I admit our dist is down with the exception of NB. Winny is having a good year. Great addition the dist
