BlueDuckSaddle
After the first week it is looking like we are going to see the Lufkin and Longview match-up? I guess a Lufkin win against JT down the road could change that, but may be a long shot. What are some early guesses on the other pairings? Looks like Greenville is wanting to get in the mix, and Nac sure made their statement. I still think Hallsville is solid and Texas High is not a lock. Pair'em boys and throw your predictions out there.
WP4L
Cannot picture Greenville beating SS or Texas High..much less Hallsville right now. But who knows...could be their year. At this point, Nac, JT and LP are looking like realistic first round opponents for LV. Less percentage that it'll be LP imo.
cujoforlife
If JT comes in plays their game the way they have against Plano, Longview and Whitehouse it is their game to lose.

I wouldn't say it's a long shot, because that is the same team that lost to Lee and the Pack were playing well until the JC game, but JT should be the favorites over the Pack in Tyler. As of right now though, I honestly think we'll play Longview again, but Lufkin has to beat House on Friday. Heck.....it is what it is. I've changed my thinking again about the team and I'm honestly not feeling good about things. So, whatever happens with them this year, just happens...smh

I understand no team is a lock to make the playoffs, but Im pretty sure JT and LP will make it. And both have the largest enrollments in the district, so Im pretty sure LV will play one of the two. I hope its LP. So with this scenario, Nac will go small school div.2 (if they make it..and Im sure they will)

If we win at SS or home against Marshall (homecoming) in the next couple of weeks, then we might have a shot. Our stud RB will be back for his senior season, our JV squad is better than advertised, and players are seriously buying into the Sedberry System. I think we'll be a major problem for folks in 2015, but we're still rebuilding the program this year. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
32dive
A win for JT over Lindale puts JT in sole control of their own playoff hopes at 2-0 with a WH loss to LP.
BlueDuckSaddle
If Lufkin takes care of business against Whitehouse and Ennis, wouldn't that put the head to head match-up between Lufkin and JT for the title? Loser plays Longview first round?
Nacwagons
The loser of the WH/LP game is in series trouble. Winner of Nac/Ennis game would need a complete collapse to not make it.

Loser plays Longview first round? After last week Lufkin would be behind Nac for any talk of a title, as far as the playoff match up yes the JT/LP game could decide seeding and who draws longview. Not saying Nac has the title or is overlooking the rest of the year. They still have a long road, this week at Ennis...Halloween night hosting WH and the last week of the season at the rose against JT. Lindale,Jax and Cana will not be walk overs. Nac!!!
The two big teams in 16-5a are Lp and JT ... they would go div1 and Nac Ennis and or Whouse would go div2. I'm guessing Longview is div1? I'm not counting any chickens before they're hatched though
PackAttack
Your question was 16-5A VS 15-5A.......which I say besides Longview and maybe Hallsville and Texas High, 15-5A doesn't have the best competition this year. You have to admit the 16-5A has the bulk of the horses with Nacogdoches, Ennis, John Tyler, Lufkin and possibly Whitehouse. John Tyler , Nacogdoches and Ennis look to be the odds on favorites to win 16-5A, while Longview should stroll through 15-5A, with or without their compliment of sidelined starters. The Lufkin/Whitehouse and Nacogdoches/Ennis games will be interesting match ups to watch this week, Longview/Greenville will be like another game with Pine Tree and this only helps Longview as they continue to try and get everybody back on the field in time for the playoffs. You can't help but believe the tougher district play of 16-5A will only benefit those teams that survive to make the playoffs. 16-5A is the better district. I guess that was your question. BlueDuckSaddle
If JT wins the rest of their games throughout district play, and if Lufkin wins the rest of their games throughout, then it would boil down to who wins between them head to head. Playoffs could look like this: Pack vs. Longview / 15-5A wins....maybe? JT vs. Thigh / 16-5A wins Ennis, Nac, or W'house vs. Marshall, H'ville, or SS / 16-5A wins 15-5A could be wiped out the first week. Ugh!
