whodathoughtit
Mineola's coach without a doubt.
LLion22
Gotta go with Yoe's Rhoades. Not many with starts as rough as Yoe had can pull it all back together and be sitting at the door of the championship game. Outstanding job!
1WildCat
Coach K. from Waskom!! Has done remarkable job in W-Town, considering "what he's had to work with"!! ;)
Ettu
Gilmer front man, Jeff Traylor. Nobody is better at developing "homegrown" talent.
wannabe
Joe Drennon from Mineola Great Character Great job with a young young team after starting out 0 and 3, now on an 11 win streak.... Has built a program in Mineola

MoveTheChain
I have to go with Coach Wells from Liberty-Eylau. Starting out 1-5, pulling that team together. +1. From a train wreck in the first game to a sleek bullet train at the end.
68Hornet
Mineola's Joe Drennon would be a great choice after 0-3 start and now in state semifinals Liberty-Eylau's Steve Wells great choice. L-E graduated 35 seniors from 2013 team and in his first year as head coach Wells started 1-5 and takes team to state quarterfinals. Here's a tidbit. Drennon and Wells were best friends in college at University of Arkansas-Monticello. I believe they were teammates, too.

SteelJacket
I have to give Coach Scott Ford from EF a shout, especially since I have been somewhat critical. He turned the program around from 3-7 to 8-4 even after loosing a lot of talent.
jethro
Whitney Keeling from Waskom. Back to back state semi appearances from a program who has never been to that point in the schools history before last year. And they are still going! Looking at a possibility of a state championship if the cards fall right!
dean1345
Coach Fedora from Navasota would get my vote. Produces some outstanding teams since his arrival.
trueblue82
Coach Adams at the Grove. Best season in school history. I think Coach Ward at Tenaha may have done his best coaching job ever this year. Looking at what he lost to graduation, getting back to semis for the fourth year in a row. Much respect for both of these guys. I'm sure there are other deserving candidates, but these are teams I saw.
johntylerfan
Without a doubt(yes I am a homer), Coach Ricklan Holmes of John Tyler. He has answered the call all season long and has JT on the verge of history IMO. Trust me when I say leading your alma mater is VERY difficult to do. The expectations alone from people are staggering at times.

Jimmythebleep
I agree Coach k has done a great job and turned the Waskom program around but don't say "considering what he had to work with because that man has more speedsters than 2 or 3 programs combined! But, they are very disciplined and he can have them boys ready to run a different scheme in just a couple if days and execute it to perfection! Relentlessbeast
Joe Drennon from Mineola.... a man who has built this program over a period of several seasons and it is paying off!

blackflag79
My vote would have to go to Joe Drennon at Mineola. There are quite a few that could be considered, though.
nacdragon07
I'm being a homer but bobby Reyes has done a great job in Nac. who would thought that we would have repeated the same record and make the playoffs again in this tough district. somebodydonetoldyouwrong
Roger Adams @ Union Grove- hands down the best performance in the history of that school John Berry @ Gladewater- best run they've had since the 90s The Coach @ Mineola Ricklan Holmes @ John Tyler Coach @ Waskom Coach @ Tenaha Phil Castles @ Henderson Coach @ Liberty Eylau- Everyone counted them out in non-district I would say its pretty close between Mineola's coach and Union Groves Coach But I do Agree with this whole list
