Eagleborn
Now that everyone is done with football.. Carthage, Center, Henderson, Rusk and Tatum make up this district. TABC preseason picks had.... 1. Tatum 2. Center 3. Henderson 4. Rusk 5. Carthage All five are in tournaments this weekend. Tatum is in the Hardin-Jefferson Marathon, everyone else is in the Central Heights tournament.
sfacujackcat
Not sure if Henderson will be in a tournament. They just got their FB guys back today and 4 of the 5 starters were on the football team.

justthinkin11
Now that everyone is done with football LMAO Had to do it that way cause I have forgotten how to copy quotes and respond. This time of year lots of varsity tournaments are a little watered down due to the football playoffs. I know several coaches in the eastex area that take teams to tournaments that are not nearly at full strength but they still go. Those teams that usually make deep runs in the football playoffs are used to this and use it for player evaluation. So maybe next year Henderson needs to bow out of the playoffs a little earlier so they can get ready for those BIG early season bball tournaments

KarnackKing
Pls tell me your not from Henderson. Note to you we are usually the Bronsboro/Spring Hill ( in football) when it comes to the hardwood. 2 playoffs teams since the early 90s 2000 and 2010. Both of which we were beat in Big District. Since the 90s, the early 2000 and 2010 hasn't Henderson football been about the same as the two examples you gave? How many winning seasons and playoff appearances has Henderson produced during that time period?

sackem
Doesn't the state tournament seed teams according to records? Don't you think some coaches schedule games accordingly? or schedule games and enter tournaments to make their coach's record look better? Is the record really a true picture, if some players are still in football?
Eagleborn
Looks like only Carthage and Henderson are only ones with anything scheduled this week. Henderson and Tatum have tournaments next week. Henderson at Paris Tournament, Tatum at Allen Tournament. District starts January 20th.
longhorncrazy
DISTRICT record, not overall The four teams that make it to state tourney are seeded by overall winning percentage. The top two winning percentage teams are #1 & #2 seeds. Their opponents, remaining two teams, are decided by a simple coin flip. A 23-1 team, 96%, would be the #1 seed over a team that is 34-2, 94%. pushemback
So how's everyone shaping up in this District. When district gets started we will try and let you know. But might take a couple nights to let you know, because it's a 5 team district with an odd man out. Might also have to hold back on some of the point reports; as 2Old might be calling the old-run up the score police on some. sure wouldn't want to up set him.
