Baron
Did Dallas improve their team with the addition of Rondo or will losing Wright, Nelson and Crowder really hurt the bench and the team in the long run?
THSfanatic
Brandon Wright was my favorite player.. But I admit this trade makes them better for the immediate future. Wright was never going to be a star, but he's a hustle player that I really enjoyed.
topher805
There goes the neighborhood... Good short term move to help them win now. Not sure if it gets them over the hump, but it will definitely get them close. That said, the loss of young players plus the draft picks will hurt in the future. Especially the day that Dirk decides to hang them up (Not as far away as many think)...
galloping_gobbler
Draft picks, especially when you are a top 8 team, don't really have the same effect immediately that they would for a bottom feeder. So, in essence, they only lost two really decent young players for one outstanding one
Valhalla
They had better hope Chandler holds up.
Stoney
Good trade. The bench isnt as good now but you do have a guy that you can build around when Dirk hangs them up. Rondo,Ellis, Parsons, Dirk and Nowitzki- man thats SEGA good.

topher805
Hahahaha...Didn't catch that before Since it is "Sega good" it must be one of those Create-a-Player type deals
Valhalla
I think it will be good if Rondo returns to the form he was 2-3 years ago. You cannot win the West without elite PG play and Dallas took a gamble on its best shot to get elite pg play.
DLine06
Good trade. The bench isnt as good now but you do have a guy that you can build around when Dirk hangs them up. Rondo,Ellis, Parsons, Dirk and Nowitzki- man thats SEGA good. The bench is still Devin Harris, JJ Barea, Al-Aminu Fariq, Greg Smith. I hate losing Wright for his energy, efficiency and enthusiasm. However Point Guard play was dead last in points, 28th in assists and dead last in points according to ESPN.

Coach Rab
If he has, make about 4 more so he can play all the time. Nobody could stop us then Give me 4 dirks and rondo... Dirk is too slow to play PG
SAWolfman
Great trade! It is going to pay off for them! Hopefully we see the Dirk Side play a few more years with Rondo!
Doomer
I'm all onboard for 'ol Rondo. Looks like Dallas goes to the big game in football and ball this year. How is the Stars gonna be?

topher805
What???? :blink:Meaning it looks like the Mavs are crashing the Western Conference party. They were already one of the top teams, but this deal is a big boost for the short term... galloping_gobbler
Give me 4 dirks and rondo... Dirk is too slow to play PG I'll take six. We would need bench scoring too. Dirk can't do it all on his own
Stoney
I didnt realize till last night just how fast that backcourt of Ellis & Rondo is. Wow! Knucklehead report- Been seeing Josh Smith and Jermaine O'Neal names thrown around. I'm not sure what Jermaine has left in the tank physically. Could Smith fit in? topher805
All reports have Smith most likely ending up in Houston. I for one don't want him...Doesn't bring much to the table

topher805
Good luck to Houston with that.As I said, Smith and his 24% shooting from behind the arc, 39% from the field, and 48% from the free throw line can find another home...Unfortunately Smith and Howard are extremely close, going back to their AAU days. That seems to be the driving force here, because surely Dork Elvis is smarter than this... On the other side, I really like the move to add Corey Brewer. A strong defensive player that can give Ariza a breather.
