Eagleborn
One for me is a overtime rule. Instead of starting teams at the 25 start them at the 40.
LilEagle
I would like to see UIL just enforce the rules they have now, so those that abide by the rules are not at a disadvantage.
regaleagle
I think the helmut deal of sitting out one play is sorta ridiculous. Just snap it back on and let's play. Why should a player be "penalized" by losing his helmut? Most of the time is wasn't his fault it came off. Now if you purposely remove your helmut, then yes....go sit out a play. YELLOWJACKET89
The one where a player is ruled down just cause his knee touches the ground first without contact from the defender hell its not like this in the NFL I think it should be allowed in highschool and college I just never understood that rule I think is't stupid to let one league get away with it and not the other just doesn't make sense to me

If a kid knows that his helmet popping off is going to cost him playing time, he'll tighten that chin strap and keep the helmet on.

Doomer
Let the fans on the sideline. Coaches are busy during the game and don't have enough time to coachup kids during the game. Fans could be couching-up kids, and helping refs and coaches too. No such thing as too much help right?
KirtFalcon
Change the rule back like it used to be where the clock stops on ALL out of bound plays until the next snap. Too much lost football time starting the clock on out of bound plays when the ball is set by the officials.

cowtownhorn
15 for helmet off should be a discretionary (to the refs) foul. That 15 for the helmet off that one game was terrible---but it was the rule And that rule should be changed. Should be dead ball whistle blown to stop play. Replay in state title games. Only if somebody sees something in the booth. 15 second limit. I umpired baseball/softball and there are times when your mechanics are correct and all you can do is defer to someone who should also be in correct position to see a call even if you are 5' and they are 60' or more away. The official in position for the Navasota/Argyle game was in this position. The Navasota player lost control of the ball on the opposite side of him. Impossible for him to make the call. 15 seconds in the booth? Remember the UT/OSU game where Gray lost control in the pile? They reviewed for 10 minutes and still couldn't determine it. 15 seconds. cotton84
Overtime in high school place the ball at the 30.............In college, the 40 I don't like the forward motion rule, where the ball carrier keeps running.................Where the runner gets the best of both worlds............example: Runner gets hit at the 50 and is sorta wrapped up, he bounces backwards and keeps running---------most officials will give him the 50 or if he goes scores, the TD.........but they will not take away lost yards if he get tackled short of the 50...................Should be if you keep running, and get tackled for a loss, you lose the yards or blow the whistle(ball is dead). That would be too subjective to be consistent. Forward progress is the only way to be fair and not have to make a judgement call as to when the runner "stopped running". In your example the defense could just stand a runner up and push him back then let him go and retackle him farther back. It would create total chaos in my opinion ....
