They won't be as over looked as you think. Everybody knows Center always has talent. Now they have a coach that knows how to use it. Anybody that is football minded will have them pegged as a possible contender this year.

Gladewater is my early pick to win the region. They will beat Gilmer this time.

I think they'll be pretty good but this year, teams will get to use the whole playbook against them instead of half of it. Mack was like Lawrence Taylor on Super Tecmo Bowl on regular Nintendo. He blew up play after play....run or pass. Creating 2nd and 16 for those stupid enough to run out of shotgun....or not out of shotgun...didn't matter. Couldn't roll out to pass cuz he'd run you down, couldn't stand in the pocket because he would already be in the pocket before the snap reached the QB....That kid literally dictated several 3 and outs by himself alone. Thats gone. I Don't care what anybody says...without that man....3 and outs wont be as plentiful, they won't have as many possessions, and that defense just simply wont be even half as effective this year. With that being said....I think they return enough to be in the mix for sure. Just no where near as dominant on defense which will make the road much harder.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why Glasewater is supposed to be good.

Lost a ton.

JV was pretty bad.

I get the new car smell attitude but I'm confused.

Maybe that golfingnut person will fill me in.

Haha, I'd rather just read the comments of other's making fools out of themselves!

Tatum

Atlanta

Center/ GW

SH

PG

I put SH at fifth, because not much has been mentioned about them, so I'm not sure what they got coming back this season. PG had their chance last season, and I got a feeling they'll be put on the back burner this season

9th grade football , imo, is the best way to predict how good the varsity is going to be 2-3 yrs down the road. Gladewater's fish team went undefeated 3 yrs ago. I think they beat us by 2... might have been a tie.... either way they were very good.

Their freshman team beat our freshmen twice last year in 2 close contests. Our 9th grade team finished 7-3 and won district.
