I will have to go with the GOLD Tigers in this one by at least 3 or 4 scores....to much speed

. That's what I would say you've had to much of if you think they have more speed than us. Yes they might be better and more physical but I promise you we won't lose to them having more speed

Lost 39-14 last year at their place. Their JV group sliced and diced us here at home the same.

Based on last year's results, the inability to defense them either games last year, the defensive play Friday nite against Gladewater, I don't see us with the win against Malakoff.

I'm all about me being proven wrong though.

Yep both started the year rough. Especially the Lions. Good luck to the Tigers my friend

I will be interested to see if the Tiger's can improve on last week's performance...... On defense, pass coverage was solid and came away with 2 int's on 8 pass plays... Run defense was atrocious, no gap control and arm tackling from being out of position and not much if any penetration of the line of scrimmage.....

Offensively we moved the ball at times, but inconsistent play calling stalled many drives... We ran the ball better than I expected, but the passing game never got out of the blocks.....

Against off coverage we have to get the ball out to the receivers quickly to allow them space to get up field.....

All in all, I feel that this team has a chance to excel, just have to work out the kinks..... And with this schedule, you have to get better or last week was just the beginning......

Let's go Tiger's..... Keep working....

that program was going nowhere until Monte Jack's boy took over. A couple of programs that passed on him probably wosh they had not. Palestine has been through three head coaches since they told him he was their guy and then reneged. Malakoff better be careful or some big mame program. ig school is going to snap him up. THAT apple did not fall far from the tree.

MHS77 has the correct list. The three receivers, #1 Barker, #2 Russell & #11 Woolverton all have very dangerous speed and are hard to catch in the open field. The two RBs, #42 Grim and #22 Horn both have very good burst and high top end speed. Malakoff isn't really a grind-it-out type of team. They run the hurry-up style offense and are always looking to get the ball to one of their speedster in open space to break the big play.

Who woulda thought on Thursday there would only be 2 pages about a DF game. My my what a fall from grace...where are crush slick tig and the rest of the blue posse?

Fall from grace? I wouldn't be so quick to call it that, still a lot of ball to be played. The Tigers have the pieces to the puzzle, Coach just has to put it all together. Just facing stiff competition while they get it figured out. The Tigers don't schedule cream puffs like most schools just to put a W in the win column. Not ready to write them off just yet. Once the Tigers get on track , I'm sure you will see a bit more activity, but some of those guys you name haven't posted anything in years.

The Daingerfield secondary defended the pass well in their first game, only giving up one successful play out of eight attempts..... The work against a more balanced offense should help the Tigers as they try to gain their footing this year...... Interesting match up....
