One year not so many seasons ago, the Van Vandals took a knee against Brownsboro and faced Lindale next in a point spread situation for a playoff spot. Van could just have forfeited the Lindale game and went straight in. Instead, as rivalry games go, Lindale covered the spread that was made by the knee took inside the 5 at Bboro. Result.. Lindale in the playoffs.. Van stayed home. In today's playoff situations, coaches have to be aware of the possiblities from game ONE of district.
