KirtFalcon
Baker Mayfield. Maybe? Maybe. not a chance ... Like I said about LSU as a team, Fournette is going to have to make people forget about that game... That means he will need more 200 yd games/3 TDs... One of those against Ole Miss will help people forget... Arkansas who people think have a great defense despite some terrible games, and A&M who everyone thinks he should run wild on. Last week hurt Fournette a lot worse than it hurt Boykin ....
sawemoff
Baker Mayfield. Maybe? Maybe. He absolutely has a chance. Easily a top three QB so far this season. IF he wins out and has decent numbers, he will be going to NY. It'd take something special for him to win it, but I think he is a serious dark horse right now. Sportsfanatic1
Surely it's still Fournette's to lose. As far as Boykin Okie st. was the first team he played with a pulse.

The Arab for FSU has looked really good though. Even against Clemson. These RBs will have to fall off the map for one of the QBs to win it

Youngcoach123
Is baker the OU qb?? When I watched them I was wondering where the other qb was and thought for sure he was a back up. And yall want to send him to NY as the best college player in the nation? 😕

JohnnyFootball
I think this weekend could be huge for Coleman or Mayfield. If one or the other has a huge game in a win, they could jump up big time.
Coach Rab
Mayfield has looked great except the Texas game... and OU doesn't run Baylor/TCU offense... his 400 yard games are legit in my eyes.

There aren't many yards he doesn't earn. Especially with his legs.

Coach Rab
Boykin just kissed his Heisman chances goodbye. He hurt his ankle in the 1st quarter... I know Heisman voters don't care, but it is what it is...

BudaSooner
I wonder if Kliffie is wishing now that he had offered Mayfield a scholly, instead of slow-playing him? Not taking anything away from Mahomes, he is a dandy quarterback, but Mayfield has really amped up his game the further into the season that he has played. The year afterward, yes because he let go not only him but Michael Brewer. This year, no. Having said that, If Kliff was to be be fired, Lincoln Riley would be likely first in line for the HC position. Baker has literally risen his game in a new dimension by learning from the former right hand man of Mike Leach.

trueblue82
If Derrick Henry continues to have the sort of games he's having, through the last two weeks of the regular season and in the SECCG, while carrying his team to a spot in the CFP, and they give it to ANYBODY else, they should stop giving the award and burn the New York Downtown Athletic Club to the ground.
