How long do Hondas really last?

I just bought a 2000 honda civic about a month ago with 230k miles on it. It's in very good driving condition from what I can tell. I'm just curious about the mileage you can get out of a civic. I would like to invest in body and interior work over time but don't know if it's worth pouring money into or not.
