whousecats
So with this year probably going to end at 1-9 will New Boston rebound next year similar to what Daingerfield has done? Or is this the new norm for years to come as the unbelievable talent of the past 6-7 years is gone?
downtheline
So with this year probably going to end at 1-9 will New Boston rebound next year similar to what Daingerfield has done? Or is this the new norm for years to come as the unbelievable talent of the past 6-7 years is gone? People in NB know more about the talent level in the lower grades more than anyone. You tell us what is coming up. Are kids not playing that would help the program? I can't imagine NB staying down long..
oldhornet
NB will not. Winning spoils everyone.
soldier1
IMO, not much more talent from the lower class(HS), now the 7th and 8th grade class is extremely talented. I hate to say but I think we'll be in this slump for a few years to come, hope im wrong!!
whousecats
I kind of hate that the current quarterback is coming along when he is. He is the best player on the team right now, and will be the all everything for the offense next year. I think the Middle School has some talent, and I believe the current group of 9th graders can make a splash next year with the team. Bishop Fields is a real good player who will be a Soph next year. BlackBeard
If NB didn't have the loss of talent this year due to disciplinary and injuries this season would have had a few more wins. The good news is that the team will only be losing about four to graduation this year. I'm more concerned with fan support. The team needs the support. BringBacktheVEER
NB will struggle next year too. Hate to see programs drop like this. But it happens.

chevyman
RB for the lions 8th grade should/could be a beast once he gets up there. I only saw him against winny though but it didnt take long to see how talented he is.
BlackBeard
I say NB is going to be more competitive this year. ;)
OLEMAN
Not a 3 deep type of team but I think they have a valid shot at the playoffs. WO is favored in a not so tough Dist at this point. Keeping healthy is the key.
mustanghybrid
I say NB is going to be more competitive this year. ;) the defense will be the key to keeping them competitive...at least until the offense finds more answers.
sackem
A 14 to 12 win over Hooks (9&2 last year and know to have a good program) is certainly a good start.
