budmanmpfan
I wish this game was at lobo Stadium. A better stadium than Sam Parker. Lobo might be a better stadium but it is booked with better games. And Mount Pleasant is halfway between Gilmer and Texarkana. More people will drive to MP than they will Longview. Sam Parkwr isnt that bad of a stadium either. Its pretty good size. Gilmer should fill up their side but it will be close. Pleasant Grove might. The last play-off game we played at Sam Parker we were on the visitor's side. Dangerfield was the home team. There were so many Gilmer fans that a section of the home side was set aside for Gilmer fans. The concession stands weren't able to keep up . I beleive the visitor's side concession stand was sold out after halftime. At least Pleasant Grove are the hawks, and not the Tigers.

Because Gilmer hasnt played Daingerfield in the playoffs since the early 2000s.

BigRedFan
I think I went to that game. Was there not a double header that day. I remember going to a double header once time at Sam Parker.

blackflag79
I've always liked Sam Parker Field. The stands don't hold as many people, but they are more roomy. The parking is decent, too. Pleasant Grove didn't bring hardly anybody last season. Will they have more at this one? If not, our home stadium would've been plenty big enough, even for the Buckeye crowd. WiseGuy
Winning 2 district games was the big moral victory for PG...doubt they bring a big crowd to watch a Gilmer highlight lol.
GWbearnation
Serious question for all you Gilmer folks -- What did Bullard do so well that kept the great Gilmer offense to only 14 points in each half?
Snowbird
Serious question for all you Gilmer folks -- What did Bullard do so well that kept the great Gilmer offense to only 14 points in each half? Not from Gilmer but was at the game. Main issue was that Gilmer turned it over twice in Bullard territory when they were driving. Gilmer also failed to get a 1st down on 4th and 1 from the Bullard 42 yard line early in the game. Bullard ran it well enough to chew up some clock and ran the play clock under 5 seconds on every snap. Smart game plan. Bullard is well coached. Tatorhead
Bullard played Gilmer close because they are very well coached and Gilmer's offense isn't as "great" as usual.
