Look like 1st place in D20 will probably come down to Franklin/Lexington as both are 5-0. Cameron played both close for the longest time and are in 3rd at 3-2. I would say Academy or Rockdale would be the other team in the mix.

Yoe09, if you don't mind keep us updated on this thread on 20 3A since the two districts play each other in Bi-District.

It was not that long ago that Teague Basketball was a joke. They have sure turned that around. I have also heard that their baseball team is very good now too. Once again not too long ago when you played Teague you moved one of your JV pitchers up to save the rest of your varsity arms. Sounds like Teague has it going on from the start of the year to the end of school now.

BCP, we have a good run going now Football team 23/3 the last two years and knocked out by Yoe both times and made it to the State Quarterfinals. Basketball made it to the Regional Tournament last year and is in position to make another run. Playing with lots of Underclassmen. Baseball played five rounds last year before being knocked out by SC West. Last four years have been the best in school history with 3 District titles playing 2-3 rounds deep each year. Coach Kilman passed away in the summer and now Coach Jeff Callahan takes over. Losing some four year starters but should compete for 2ndcplace in district behind SC West who returns nearly everyone.

20-3A update

Franklin over Lexington, 71-56

Rogers over Cameron, 57-51

Academy over Rockdale, 38-34

Troy over Hearne

Franklin is undefeated and Lexington is 5-1. Cameron is hurting right now without their top dribble-drive threat. I would say Troy and Hearne are almost out of the picture for the playoffs. Academy and Cameron are tied for 3rd (Cameron did defeat Academy the first go around).

Finally have actual baseball and basketball coaches that actually care about that sport they are coaching since 04 in coach Beasley (basketball) and baseball finally has pitching to go with great coaching. Teague has had baseball coaches that cares very deeply about the sport but never could find pitchers but that's the name of the game must have pitching and we have had a string of really good ones and we will see after losing a couple very good ones to graduation. Things look good in Teague and hopefully we will continue.

Edward Glendenning getting those Yoemen coached up?

Cameron is not a basketball town, but Coach Glendenning has done a nice job. We don't have a lot of size and he does not have any true basketball kids, but does well with what he has. Also, every year, he has not had his full roster until the end of December. Once again, this is Cameron and no one is complaining.

As you can see by the standings, this team has a chance to get into the playoffs, which would be a first since the 2010-2011 season when the team went to the third round before falling to Hallettsville. Also, the freshmen and JV both went undefeated in the first round of district.

Figured Rockdale would be more competitive must have lost a lot from last years team.

They pretty much lost the house. Top player is now at Baylor. He (MVP) and the defensive MVP, two first teamers, and 1 2nd teamer all graduated.
