Bulldognation1 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Yeah unfortunately I feel the same way I haven't been out to see them play in a few years wonder what the deal late 90's early 2000's Cooper was a dominant force to be reckoned with. Cooper don't have the hosses they once had to work with is a big part of it.
BlackBeard Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 How much is that due to high level talent leaving for bigger programs, like Paris? I know Hughes Springs success over the last 10 years in baseball has attracted talent from Daingerfield and Paul Pewitt.
OLEMAN Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Seems like the Hornets, lion, and Bear kids have alot of home pride and stick with their home school . Switching around has happende but mostly in football and not so often
tcobaseball Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Hooks 5 New Boston 4 10 innings Great game by both teams
BlackBeard Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Yes, very good game. New Boston scored 4 runs in the first inning and then couldn't get another run across the rest of the game. I hate to add up all the stranded runners for NB. ;)

I know Hughes Springs success over the last 10 years in baseball has attracted talent from Daingerfield and Paul Pewitt. That is a good question I know the little league teams have been really good making trips to Austin for the Little League World Series several times over the last few years. Just not making the transition to the high school.

OLEMAN Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Any games tonight. How are the fields. I know RW canceled their little league stiff
baseballfan15 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Chisum has a hard time getting their best athletes to play Baseball. Mainly bc of the past couple of football coaches. My understanding is that they told the kids if they played football they could not play baseball
BowieC Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Any games tonight. How are the fields. I know RW canceled their little league stiff redwater at NB tonite
BlackBeard Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Chisum has a hard time getting their best athletes to play Baseball. Mainly bc of the past couple of football coaches. My understanding is that they told the kids if they played football they could not play baseball Wow. Iv'e heard that some coaches do that but never read about it until now. Now wonder baseball talent has moved out from Paris Chisum.
BlackBeard Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Any games tonight. How are the fields. I know RW canceled their little league stiff The picture is Redwater baseball complex in January of this year. Supposedly the fields sit in a "bowl".
BlackBeard Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 NB won 6-1 The score doesn't show how close was the game throughout. NB right fielder made a diving catch with two men on to keep the score at 3-1. This outfielder had an ankle brace due to a running accident and was recently in a car wreck. Redwater made a few errors that gave NB 3 runs.
BlackBeard Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 With the season halfway over anyone in the top 5 can make the playoffs. From what I witnessed through seeing all the teams I think Hooks has the best hitting overall. W L Hooks 5 1 Redwater 4 2 Prairiland 4 2 New Boston 4 2 Dekalb 3 3 Paris Chisum 1 5 Cooper 0 6
tcobaseball Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 With the exception of Cooper and Chisum anybody can beat anybody. Very competitive district.
BlackBeard Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Dad gum. . It is a pitchers game True in most cases but NB did hit the ball but couldn't find gaps too many times. NB pitched a pitcher who the Saturday before had his non pitching finger jammed and had to go to the emergency room to have it popped out. I think it bothered him to some extent because he had trouble finding the strike zone. Out of 5 runs I'm thinking at least 3 runs were unearned.
supermaroon Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 Real tight district right here except for my bulldogs they bring up the rear can they at least get 1 win in district and avoid the 0for. As for the rest rest should be an exciting second round of district play.
BlackBeard Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Dekalb 10 Hooks 0 5 innings. Dekalb pitcher, Dalton Hanna went the distance and looked real sharp. Hooks made a few fielding errors and Dekalb found some gaps in the outfield. As of now with some other games to be reported: W L Redwater 6 2 Prairiland 6 2 Hooks 6 2 New Boston 4 3 Dekalb 4 3 Paris Chisum 1 6 Cooper 0 7 This is becoming an exciting second half to the season.
OLEMAN Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 What a matched up dist. Depth in pitching And the way uses his picthing will be the difference. True Chess match here
