10 3A D1 Franklin vs Rockdale

We have a tremendous amount of respect towards Franklin. Should shape up to be a good one on Friday. Rockdale's biggest task of the night will be on the shoulders of its defensive front to try and contain that running attack the Lions bring. As for Franklin, it will be for them to limit the big plays from Rockdale's offense. The Tigers can stretch the field in the blink of an eye. Both staffs will have their work cut out for them this week

A: Crawford will need to abuse Franklin's young defensive secondary. B: Tigers need to get other WRs involved to keep Lions D from cheating on Crawford the way McGregor did. C: Tigers have shown that if opposing D concentrates on Crawford, Ford will make them pay (Huge kudos on the 350 yds rushing, btw!). D: TIGER NATION NEEDS TO SHOW UP EN FORCE AND MAKE NOISE ALL NIGHT!!!

franklin's back up qb can sling the ball.... didnt think we had a good back up qb. our dbs have got better they are not the greatest but the have improved. franklin has been getting their passing game goin somewhat. they dont pass the ball on every play but they pass the ball more now then they did against cameron.

I agree with you on all of that 88YoePride. McGregor kept Crawford quiet last Friday and it only allowed RB Ford to step up and have himself a huge night on the ground for us. This Tiger offense can be as balanced as anyone in 3A D1 when need be.

Great game to watch, both teams played extremely hard. Franklin got a taste of a little home cooking Friday night at Tiger field.

Clearly the best two teams in the district regardless of what the standings in district will say.

Both teams will be hard outs regardless of who they play.

Been told Yoe may have easier match ups in the playoff brackets, but the way they play defense and special teams no game will be easy.

Good luck to all.

clearly the best two teams in the district? even tho franklin finished the 3rd best team in the district?

Yeah, one power poll does have Rockdale and Franklin ahead of Cameron, but that is because of the margin of victory.

At the end of the day, how far the Yoemen go this season will depend on how the defense plays in the big games.

Thought Franklin did a terrible job of clock management at the end of the game. If I remember right, Rockdale called a timeout just prior to punting to Franklin for the final possession of the game, then coming out of that timeout, Franklin turned around and called the first of their three timeouts. Considering time expired with Franklin on the Rockdale 10 yard line (approx.), they sure could have used that time out.
