Well, here it is. A game I was once anticipating for other reasons, I am now seeing is an absolute must win for Atlanta. If they do not win this, they are out of the playoffs. My, how this season has transpired from what it was thought to have been before week 1. I will add I information on this game tomorrow. The most important part though is - Atlanta has to win. Atlanta hasn't beat Gilmer in 13 years.

Gilmer Buckeyes(7-1) vs Atlanta Rabbits(5-3)

Gilmer's opponents combined records - (30-32) .484

Atlanta's opponents combined records - (34-27) .557

Atlanta leads the series is tied at (26-24), dating all the way back to 1925.

Gilmer averages 49.1 PPG, while allowing just 30.9 PPG.
Atlanta averages 28.9 PPG, while allowing 24.5 PPG.

Last 5 meetings:

2015 - Gilmer - 24 | Atlanta - 15 - Qtr Finals

2014 - Gilmer - 64 | Atlanta - 25 - Qtr Finals

2013 - Gilmer - 57 | Atlanta - 7

2012 - Gilmer - 57 | Atlanta - 13 - Regional Playoffs

2012 - Gilmer - 31 | Atlanta - 17

Atlanta is coming off a disappointing loss to Gladewater (7-22).

Gilmer is coming in after a 2nd half rally to beat Spring Hill (42-7).

As much as I would like to see you end that streak, I don't think it will happen this year. Buckeyes by 21

You and I both. Atlanta has everything to gain in this game, and we're 4-0 at home. Hopefully we can pull the rabbit out of the hat so to speak.

This district could get totally messy before its all said and done. And if 4 teams make the playoffs, Atlanta could still be in with a loss to Gilmer. But if Atlanta wins, there could be the potential for multiple 1 loss or 2 loss teams in the playoffs

Do you know how this system works? If so explain, because I'm not sure

Points differential,

example pitt, pg, atl all tie at 2-3, i think Atl would be left out

Pitt d Atl 56-20 +18

Atl d PG 14-7 + 7

PG d Pitt 31-18 +13

Actually you also have to take it a step further.

Pitt def Atlanta +18 but lost to PG -13 so Pitt is +5. Atlanta loses to Pitt -18 but beats PG +7 so Atlanta is -11. PG beats Pitt +13 loses to Atlanta -7 so PG is +6.

PG +6

Pitt +5

Atlanta -11

Gilmer takes this one fairly easy. After looking at the breakdown, looks like Atlanta will start basketball early this year. When was the last time Atlanta didn't make the playoffs?

2010 I think. This would be the first year since McClure has been coach.

Atlanta will be coming into this game knowing what has to be done. It could be interesting. A lot of these players have had this game circled for the entire season. I expect them to play as if they were playing PG, because this Atlanta team has a vendetta for Gilmer.
