Kilgore went on to the state finals that year and got beat by Carthage. As a matter of fact, Gilmer has only lost 2 districts games in the last 15 + seasons. I do believe the last time we played in Atlanta was in 2011. Besides the game in 2012 in Gilmer (I think), Gilmer and Atlanta have always met at neutral sites. With the Gladewater win over Pittsburg, it's another district championship for Gilmer no matter what happens next week against Pittsburg. First time in a long time I've intentionally missed a game. But scoring points with the wife was more important than watching the Buckeyes score!
