cheaptrick77
When Joe Hoerner made his Texas Ranger debut on April 11, 1976, he become the first pitcher to wear the uniforms of two Texas MLB teams -- having played with the Houston Colt .45s in 1963 and 1964. Fogger01
That would be Brett Butler. He led the National League as a member of the Atlanta Braves in 1983 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1994. In between those occasions Butler led the American League as a Cleveland Indian in 1986. It should be noted that Butler also led the NL in 1995 while splitting the season between the New York Mets and the Dodgers. Fogger01
In 2007 Scott Proctor appeared in 52 games for the New York Yankees before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers sent him to the mound 31 times, for a combined total of 83 appearances. Who was the first man to pitch, in the same season, for both of the teams that made it to the World Series that season? [EDIT] Hi, I believe it is logical but since the question is worded a little weakly I wanted to clarify and say that the pitcher pitched for both teams during the regular season, not in the World Series.. Thanks :bangin: The first clue to help narrow down the possibilities is that one of the teams the man pitched for is no longer located in the same city. The second clue is that the team that is no longer in the city is the team that lost the World Series. These two clues may not seem like the greatest but they have pared the possible World Series duos from 103 down to 19. :)
cheaptrick77
^ That would be 'ol Al Demaree. The righthander split the 1917 MLB season between the two World Series participants: the Chicago White Sox and the New York Giants. Unfortunately, Demaree did not play in the '17 Fall Classic, despite being on the Giants' roster. NEXT! Fogger01
Hi Cheap, :bye: Before I try and answer your question, I think I should say that Demaree is not the answer to mine. Demaree split the 1917 season between the Giants and Cubs, not the Giants and White Sox.

Kong hit home runs for the Mets, Padres, Angels and Yankees, respectively. Who is the only pitcher to record 20 saves for two different teams in the same season? Fogger01
Horlen won 19 games so it would three pitchers. Cy Young Award winner Jim Lonborg and the hard hitting Earl Wilson won 22 while Dean Chance won 20 for the Twins in his first year in Minnesota. The year we are talking about is 1967, so I will stick with that season. Carl Yastrzemski became the majors' most recent triple crown winner that year and, of course, was named AL MVP.
