JasperDawg
we listened to this game on our way home from taking a behind the woodshed beating by gilmer. one of the biggest contributing moments that decided the outcome of game was the absolute bonehead (probably cost u the game ) decision that the crockett coach made (i think it was arp's next to last scoring drive, may have been their last one) crockett had arp deep in their own territory when on third down they got called for a penalty and rather than decline it which would have had arp facing a punting situation with 4 th and 6 he took the penalty making it 3 and 11 with extra play they got a first and the rest is history. sad sad situation for those young men from crockett who left it all on the field last nite

Did see those facts apply to Arp when Crockett made the tying TD drive though. Couldn't understand the call and it did hurt Arp bad. Made for a thrilling finish though. You got everything right -- except for one little thing. This wasn't the Crockett coach who did this. It was the Arp coach. It hapened exactly opposite of what you said. You can garentee Dale knew Jimmy was gonna go for it to keep Arp from getting the ball and eating the rest of the game up plus scoring
Ringside
at that point Crockett couldn't stop Arps offense. You can garentee Dale knew Jimmy was gonna go for it to keep Arp from getting the ball and eating the rest of the game up plus scoringDisagree. His team is good enough to play following conventional wisdom. His team can cover kicks so kick it deep and make the tackle. Play field position. Can't let Newton have a short field.
