Roughrider78
Center lost tonight in double overtime to Sulphur Springs 72-67. They have three losses on the year, all to 5A teams, all in overtime, twice to Whitehouse by 5 and 4 and by 5 to Sulphur Springs.
Parisian
Paris lost yesterday to Arkansas High. I was shocked The Embry twins don't patrol the paint anymore. Robinson and Pipkins are about as good a 1-2 punch as you'll find in HS basketball, but the talent drops off after that. Besides, Arkansas High is pretty good this year. What's shocking is PG losing to the Texas High JV, then to Daingerfield.

SSCatz
Sulphur Springs won the Central Heights tournament. Beat #5 3A Peaster in the championship. Big game vs Paris Tuesday in Paris. bigj
Grapeland moves to 12-1 on the season. Winning the Cross Roads tournament over Pineywoods 80-55. Grapeland only loss is to #4 4A Argyle that just beat Triple A by almost 20. Grapeland wins are against Crockett, 3A #11 Teague, 4A #21 LA Vega, and Fairfield that just beat top ranked 3A Ponder. Boys are looking good. Our JH,JV, and Varsity went 10-1 this weekend. JV placed 2nd at Palestine tournament. Our JH team won the Teague tournament. The Grapeland Girls also won the Cross roads championship, and move to 16-3 on the season. Don't know how our JH girls did but I can almost guess they did not lose. That team is loaded. Jamalious
Big Sandy coming off 4 rounds deep last year (fell to Clarksville by 19) is now 8-1 on the season. Has played nothing but 3A and 4A so far but 2 games. all-state sophomore is hitting about 28 points a game so far (up from 20 last year). Varsity has 3 freshman that all see playing time. Starting 5 is 1 senior, 1 junior, 2 Sophomores, and 1 freshman. They are still trying to hit their stride, but if they do, they going to be though the next few years. Yep
WiseGuy
Not sure how high the ceiling is on our team over here in LE, but they've showed some good signs. If they keep improving up until district I think we may be able to make a little noise.
Crawford
Henderson is 6-1 with wins over John Tyler and Kilgore . The only loss was to Bossier Defending 4a State Champions in Louisiana and it was close. Glad to see we got a decent team this year. Either Center or Henderson will take District 16 this season. They play in the first district game on 1/13/16 @ Henderson. Should be a exciting game to watch.

flukeshot
Clarksville beat 5A #12 McKinney North last week in the semis of the Greenville tournament, and they gave 5A #5 Lubbock Coronado a bit of a scare in the final before falling by double digits. Got to say they look pretty darned good and probably should be ranked a little higher than they are. They play Henderson tomorrow night in the PG Tournament. WestRusk2009
Big Sandy is now 9-2. West Rusk put one on them last night. West Rusk should have a pretty scrappy team once everyone adjust to the new coach. I like his style and I think we will get back to playing traditional Raider basketball. Crawford
I figured I give Henderson the benefit of the doubt. They seem to have a pretty good team this season. We'll see where everyone stands after that first district game.
