Impressive win being the game played in Lincoln's backyard.

Silsbee will face 6A #2 Dallas Skyline in championship game.

Center may be facing off against 6A #1 Hou Sam Houston in the championship game if they can get passed Pro Vision first tomorrow.

The Mccain kid fully recovered from the fall at the state tourney I hope? No long term effects I hope.

Let me bore y'all on the latest info on the Evadale Rebels, 10-5 for the year (Silsbee's small neighbor, who knows better than to play them :) )

Played in the Bridge City Tournament. Here are results:

Defeated Oragefield (4-A) 72-66

Defeated Vidor (5A) 77-67

Defeated Anahuac (3A) 92-60

Loss to Port Neches Groves (5A) 67-50

Biggest loss was our post (great athlete) in a game prior to tournament with a torn ACL. Still, beating 5A Vidor by 10, who just lost to Pt Arthur by 14, indicates we can play some decent ball. I have a vested interest in one of the subs lol.

I look for Center to make a lot of noise this year. They lost in the semi finals of the Longview Tournament to Pro Vision, a Houston area private school, who in turn beat the #1 ranked 6A team, Houston Sam Houston, in the championship game. Pro Vision beat Center by 8, but the game was closer than that. It could have gone either way.

Teams will have to keep it close, real close, til the end of the 3rd period. Silsbee has so much depth that they have kept their legs fresh.

They continue to press non-stop. It is very hard for most teams to keep up with it either physically or emotionally (Foul Count).

Saying the game was closer than it appears usually represents the first three periods. The fourth is where they pull away for the 20+ win margin,

most games.

Lincoln, to their credit took a TON of charges in the first half and seem to make EVERY shot. That and their big scorer Miles stayed out of foul

trouble by not really contesting any shots in the middle.

Miles was a huge part of the Championship win for Lincoln and was a major piece this year as well against Silsbee.
