JZM
Centerville and Carlisle best two coaches period then Lovelady-its what you do with WHAT YOU GOT and these two coaches are the best in 2a D1 East Texas.
upullinmychain
I'm not sold on the coaching part tho, coach lawsons mentors are Rocky baker and coach Gandy, thems two good uns rite there. Give him another year or two at the helm and he gon be as good as there is round these parts. Spoke to Mr Lawson many times when he was at Carlisle, dudes got a good head on his shoulders and quick to pick up others tendencies. Js

ScottFrost
I think this district can go be won by any of the 4 Teams who made the playoffs this past year. All will lose some kids, but all bring something to the table that gives them a shot at winning the District. Right now Carlisle and Joaquin are the teams to beat, they had the best records at (4-1). However, (3-2) SA and Alto are both more than capable to do so! Going to be a fun one again!

Could you elaborate on this? Is it what they do offensively/defensively that you are impressed with? How long have those two coaches been at those respective schools? Rocky won't be sneaking up on anybody next year. Just wondering how many new guys were on their JV this past year...
