IMG and Bishop Gorman

Unless IMG starts opening multiple locations in each state, and being allowed to compete for public school state championships I don't see a problem with what they are doing. If a kid's family feels like that is the best option for them then that is their choice. Mythical national championships or #1 rankings are meaningless in the big picture.

I agree with this 100%, and high school coaches probably need to figure out that they are really recruiting their own kids every day. We live in a transient society where everybody is mobile. Any kid in any program is able to up and move at just about any time. Coach your kids like you are recruiting them to stay in your program every day. If you do this then the high school football experience will probably be better for the kids and the coaches and the fans and the administration.

It's not that hard to do. I had a student last year create his own IMG style Academy, for a business club competition, with locations across the country and potential growth worldwide. It wasn't that expensive and the marketing took care of itself.

When players transfer to these dchools - obviously for sports-specific reasons - are they immediately eligible? Because - and I don't know about public schools in other states - having to sit out a year is a deterrent here in Texas. And no, it is NOT that easy for ANY Texas HS athlete to just transfer to another school, especially not simply to play for a "better" program. Not to mention, God forbid, we should get into an actual discussion of the ethics of this topic...

If public school coaches are so concerned about these academies and private schools being detrimental to their programs... then STOP scheduling them!!!

They have nothing if no one will play them. Game over.

Simplest solution IMHO.

Well if you want to pay $48.000 a year to send your kid do it....... We can't even keep the best kids in

Texas anymore to many mom and pop politics in local towns now. As we await the national

championship game tomorrow you'll see two programs that are going different directions than the

Texas schools, and if you can place your kid in IMG do it asap he'll get a full ride Texas AM

has two recruits for this year, Clemson, and O-State Buckeyes has IMG recruits, were so for

behind in Texas its a joke. Lets look at our mess in Texas and fix it and don't worry about Florida

High School or Nevada High School sport program. Same old messy Texas #### no wonder

schools are waiting to run from Big 12 OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSooners..........

Texas and Florida are the top 2 states to recruit in still... so what the heck are you talking about? Texas isn't behind... Texas just doesn't have the horrible education that forces the need for private schools like you see all over Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

Good point, because our current president has done so much to raise the bar on education in this country.
