dillonpanthers
Chapel Hill is open with Sitton going to Converse Judson as the DC. Coach Taber is gone now too. Who will be the next leader of the Bulldogs?
JTownFiddler
Gonna need someone who can Kerry them back to a Strong playoff run.
TheGodfather
The Godfather submits Mike Thomas' name for consideration...he would fit well as a former assistant there during a SC run!
BuckNut
What is the chance they move to 5a next alignment? I guess if they did they would be in an easier district, but a playoff run would be harder.

He's fluent in Spanish too, which I hear is a necessity to coach at Chapel Hill these days.

dillonpanthers
Lol reallyYes. 44% I believe. Doesn't really matter in a school that size. Just like it doesn't really matter at John Tyler. If you have a big enough student body to pull from.
dillonpanthers
How long has the DC been there? A year or 2? I read in one of the articles about Sitton leaving that the last on left for Lufkin. Would he be a candidate?

If you have a big enough student body to pull from. Oh it matters. JT pool is cut in half just about. The kids that come from Dogan and boulder makes up most of JT population. If JT could find a way to get more latinos to play Football. Cujo would have would have more depth. As it stands now JT only pulls from the Africa American population. With a few from Latin American. There were only two or three on the team this last season not including the kickers.

Very good point. Definitely matters when you're now back in a district with Longview and metroplex schools. In your opinion was that as much of a factor when you dropped to 5A? cujoforlife
Personally I kinda want Chapel Hill to go 5a. Will be a challenge but with the right guy it can happen. The Latino population in north and east Tyler is growing it could happen in the next realignment.
