pushemback
I figured carthage song would be "We are the Champion" guess it better than who let the dogs out. They got the answer to let the dogs out? Surratt, so they needed to come up with something else.
36gut
LE rebel rouser Yeah, your band does a great job. I even emailed your band director last year to tell her that.

justafan2015
Hughes Springs plays Thunderstruck as they run down the center of the bleachers between the fans. Nothing like it!
Mr. P
Lyrics? Look at the videos Cujo, I think 4to3 might be referring to the appropriateness of the lyrics? See here. Do you mean that the marching band would play an instrumental version of the song? Because that sounds cool... but the actual track over the PA? Man, I don't know about that. ctown81
This is just me but I love teams coming out to music over the P.A. as opposed to bands. Fight songs are played out.

Hagar
Vidor always comes out to the fight song, but long time band director, Charles Smith, adapted Slavonik for the band and it was played prior to kickoff, and at the end of every halftime show. It would put chill bumps on your arms. Several schools play it now, as does the A&M band I believe.
CasualObserver70
ACDC Back in Black for the Buckeyes Also Phil Collins In the Air tonight. It's usually played before the kids hit the field, and the build up is to the drums. It works for fans waiting in the stands, not as a motivational song for the team.
