sackem
6A & 5A started one for them so just as well start on for 4A & 3A toss in 2A too Anybody planning on moving up or down? or hoping someone else gets a good count this year. on 4A and down the UIL should not count the 12 grade that is leaving and won't be participating but count the 8th grade. In 5A and up where more than one middle school (jr.high feed the high school there might be a reason why not. but in smaller schools where just a few students can make a big difference. I wonder if the cut off will be the same? It needs be higher IMO. Schools like Beckville, Harleton, and Ore City should be 2A.

Perennial 2a teams, with one or two year spike in numbers, be glad when they come back down..

sackem
Beckville has been right around 195 since the school year started, so we'll probably drop back to 2-A When did Beckville start? Must have started earlier than everyone. A lot of schools are not starting until August 16. Then you got Marshall starting on Sept. 11. How does this affect the football/ volleyball schedule? will the earlier games be played? What about middle school/jr.high will they report early or miss out on some games? Marshall High School’s athletic schedule will not be affected by the new calendar but Marshall Junior High School’s first eighth-grade football game set for Sept. 11 against Longview ISD has been canceled.
