UIL State Executive Committee Meeting Results

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student-athletes and issue penalties for UIL rule violations.

 

A student-athlete from Premont High School was denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.

 

Student-athletes from South Garland High School and Wolfforth Frenship High School were granted appeals for varsity eligibility. After hearing testimony from all parties, it was determined that these students did not change schools for athletic purposes.

 

The Fort Worth Dunbar High School football team was given a public reprimand and two years probation for fighting with opponents.

 

The Cushing High School and Hawkins High School football teams were given public reprimands and placed on two years probation for fighting with opponents. In addition, Cushing High School coach Marlon Garrett and Hawkins High School coach Derrick Conde were given a public reprimand, two years probation, and one-game suspension.

You'll have better luck finding a clear video of Bigfoot........:p

Pretty sure video of this incident, if it even existed, would be on some dusty old DVD that at some point became buried under piles of newspapers mixed with a little tobacco juice/spit in the old Bearkat field house...our JHigh team was legit that year.
