Just for fun what happens if Arp does beat Troup does that move you guys to 3rd and Arp to 4th and GS stays home?

GS spot is clinched. It's just a matter of 3rd or 4th. I've talked to someone high up who knows the rules and components of this district.  But it's fun seeing tigger 95 get all excited over his tiny chance lol

So if Winona wins then Arp is out no matter what they do?

Max preps has no clue that Grand Saline will lose. Arp will Win. Winona will win and most important the 3 way tie comes down to a coin flip. But Jett even though he really knows the truth is just dumb and refuses to admit he’s wrong.

Well congrats to GS on getting I know its been a tough couple years when they moved up.

Definitely.  Along with Quitman we were 2 kids over the line for div1. Really killed us. But back down to div 2 definitely helped.

The way most districts work a 3-way tie is by point differential between the 3 teams tied.  They usually cap the max point differential at 14 -17 points.  So, when GS won by 27 vs Winona, their cap point differential would be, lets say 17.  Winona win over Arp was 16.  And so on...

Arp - - - (+3 to GS) + (-16 to Winona)  =  -13

Winona - - - (+16 to Arp) + (-17 to GS)  =  -1

Grand Saline - - - (+17 to Winona) + (-3 to Arp)  =  +14

So...if Arp wins and forces a 3-way tie, these would be the point differential with GS 3rd seed and Winona 4th seed.

Yes I remember being in the same district a couple years ago yall were getting competitive think it was a three way tie between GS, AG, and LO for district title.

Well said and correct  except this district isn’t using the points system for 3rd and 4th. In the event of a tie for anything other than district championships it’s a coin flip due the fact there are 7 teams in district and there was a possibility of more than 1 tie.

According to what our coaches put on social media if there is a 3 way tie for 3rd and 4th then they will have a coin flip to decide who’s in and who’s out.

Yes that is right! GS had a good offense just no defense. Their defense was trying to recover an onside kick. This year the defense is much better. Just a lot of injuries.
